My 3 fairweather mates have SCG only memberships. They will be missing the Homebush game saving their pennies for better things to come and earning brownie points with the wives.
I'm coming up for the game but I can't help but feeling my loyalty to the Swans is being exploited by the AFL everytime I watch a game at ANZ.Comment

Got 3 x Cat. 1 tickets this morning with Swans membership. Thought I would try the same tonight with the public sale to see what areas they would offer me, just as a matter of interest. Was told couldn't sell me any seats as either all that category was sold or too many seats required. Tried again for 1 seat with the same result. ???RED RAGComment

Might have maxed out the level 1 wing seats and the level 3 Northern End stands. They may start to release level 4 seats soon (or has anyone got level 4 tickets today?)Comment

Agree with the posters saying that it doesn't matter that the game is at ANZ...we need all our supporters there. This is a Final!! Look at the crowds in Perth and Adelaide. They make a huge difference to how their side plays.
During Saturday's game there seemed to be more noise coming from the Richmond supporters! Well that is how it came across on the tv.Comment

Well start with this thought Barry.
Approx 10,000 of our fans are from Melbourne - I'd hardly expect many of them would come up for a dead rubber. There probably is another 500 or 1000 based in other cities around the country too.
Then out of the other '10,000' missing, you have:
- plenty of NSW based members that live outside of Sydney itself, and probably didn't make the trip because they would prefer to come up for finals (myself and 3 other people I know from Canberra fall into this category);
- plenty that just didn't go because it was a dead rubber, and might not have been able to afford to go both this week and the finals;
- some that dislike ANZ and don't go to games at that ground during regular season/ hold SCG only memberships (these still exist don't they - I can't remember?)
- Those who didn't go for miscellanious reasons (i.e. sick/away/have other things to do etc).
Don't go tarring people as 'fair weather' fans when you have no reason to do so. We all love the swans, but they after all are only one part of people's lives,and there are plenty of people with very valid excuses not to have been there on Saturday.Comment

In big contrast to all the other matches that went on sale today - and yet we are the minor premiers!Comment

I love the hype before an SCG final. Nothing like a real home ground advantage at a great ground for watching footy.
Don't get me wrong- I also like using my binoculars to watch the best Swans struggle to overcome a dodgy pitch while risking injury. And there's plenty of atmosphere on the train if not at Homebush.Comment
