How does a non-afl reserves suburban club like Aspley build such a formidable team? They have knocked off an AFL reserves team with plenty of listed AFL players and a well funded academy to call upon for top ups.

Does Aspley have big money to spend on good players?

UWS only had thirteen listed players today. Throughout the season they almost had a full list with no listed players restrictions so I imagine many of the topups wouldn't have played at this level, let alone a final

It just hit me also that it's very likely tomorrow is ROK's final Sydney game in a swans guernsey and possibly final ever swans game

If we make it through to the GF to play Aspley can the Swans call on Josh Dunkley as a top up?

Has Josh played Swans reserves before?

Watched the 1st Qtr. It's a good quality game. Thunder leading 20-15.

It would be great if we can teach Paddy Mitchell to play the game, because he's got very good pace for a big man and can take a mark.

Tough footy so far - NT enjoying the wet more than the Swans boys.

Good 3rd quarter there, Swans came out with plenty of intent and did really well. Impressed by a number of them - (Matt80's lovechild ) Heeney is doing well, and Mills has shown some glimpses of his ability as well. Biggs has been solid so far today, and the two big lads (Naismith and Nankervis) are doing well in the ruck.

How good is Abe Davis' hair?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Very impressive win to the Swans. Hope we can do this again next weekend.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                          Haha I think so ScottH!

Fantastic 2nd half, where the superior fitness of the Swans shone through.

Lots of good performances - Walsh was very good down back, Mitchell excellent in midfield and up forward, Naismith was great in the ruck. Really good 2nd half performance after a sloppy first half effort in trying conditions.

How did Mills, Heeney and Hewitt finish the game? Did Mills and Heeney get a lot of midfield time?
