The memory's a little hazy now, but I think once you login to your Telstra online account, there's a link that takes you to a special Ticketek page where the only category you can buy is their special discounted one. Pretty sure you only need to have one account, buying up to a maximum of 8 tickets per transaction. You might be able to buy more by starting another transaction.
Crowd prediction - preliminary - swans v north.

Thanks - found this video which agrees with you. I'm watching this prelim now. The crowd noise was very loud especially when Jetta kicked the goal from THAT run. Loved Bruce's commentary..."Usain Bolt couldn't catch him" ????.
I'm hoping for at least 50,000.
Out of curiosity I compared the ticket prices between ANZ and MCG. Category 1 is the same but for all other categories ANZ is cheaper.Comment

Tested setting up the Telstra bits for a pre-paid SIM and it all works and the footy ticket option is visible (although waiting to be updated for the prelim). I wonder (1) if there will be a small spike in $2 SIM cards tomorrow morning and (2) what the cap is on Telstra priced tickets. Thanks - found this video which agrees with you. They changed the limit per transaction from 8 to 10. Guess they're not worried about selling out, even at the lower levels.Comment

Traditionally Norf are a poor drawing team, but this may change a little this week...
They do have a much larger membership base than a few years back, and being in a prelim for the first time in a long while will drag a few to Sydney.

Ticketek really is a crap site. I am happy to pay top dollar. But it will only let me choose category 1, not stipulate where. Am I really supposed to believe that the whole of level 4 sold out in the first ten minutes? Because all it is offering me is tickets on level 1, near the fence, in a bay barely in the category 1 region.Comment
