The bloke who was too lazy to run anywhere is now the clubs runner.

As Alanis Morissette said, "And isn't it ironic... don't you think"

Keep the Davo love going Stella, I'm loving his work straightening out Tippo and Bud, more than any of his gut running efforts on the field.

If we win Saturday that's 2 premierships Davo has had a huge hand in. Our kicking in general has improved immensely.

Three - wasn't he on the coaching staff in 2012?

Could be! It makes you realize the great contribution the specialist coaches make to team success. Tauberts work with the ruckmen has never been fully recognized either.

Davo, great player, but hopeless kick for goal. Whenever he took a mark inside 50, I kept saying, "handball to Jolly for god's sake"

              Hmmm.... Career stats Davis G. 235 P.135 at 64%. Jolly G.122 P. 63 at 65%

Just as bad as each other really.

Ha. My bad. I just assume Jolly, as a ruckman, would be a bad kick.

Wanted to say Dunkley, but from different eras.

This thread reminds me of being down on the fence after the 2005 game as the players greeted the fans. My mate was yelling at him 'its your flag Nick'. Davo took the adulation in his stride, as to say 'I know'

I was sitting with some mates who were Brisbane Lions supporters at the 2003 preliminary final at ANZ. Our seats were very close to the boundary.

One of the guys in the group gave Nick Davis the most severe spray I had ever heard as he minded the mark near the boundary. The spray occurred late in the 4th quarter when the Swans were clearly going to lose.

He screamed "Davis your soft" and told him how he had lost the 2012 GF for Collingwood and now had contributed to the Swans Prelim final lost. Davis actually turned to see who was screaming at him in the crowd.

My mate felt bad about the spray he delivered and made an apology to Nick through a friend who worked at the Swans at the time.

It was nice to see Nick get his 2005 flag after that spray in 2003. He also scored some telling goals in the 2006 GF that got us back into the game.

Watching Nick Davis slotting goals from the boundary on the fifty metre line at yesterday's open practice session showed what a big kick he has. He was "torping" the ball beautifully. A kicking role in the NFL beckons.
