Match Thread Swans vs Nth Melb PF

Mid morning at Ryde (10 mins from ANZ Stadium) and the weather is sunny with a breeze. Don't see any likelihood of rain or dew.

Sadly due to the events of yesterday there probably will be increased security at the ground and transport routes. Extra time advised.

    Go Swannies.

Policeman: "Yes, I was married once."

I saw two beautiful Swans with 6 newborn cygnets and 3 dead kangaroos on this mornings bus run. Its gotta be an omen. Swans by 37.

I'm NARFing it tonight, poor form I know for such a big game, and someone actually asked me this morning if it was because of the events of yesterday! I hadn't even made a connection at all, but I suspect you're right about increased security.

Security and police would've been jacked up anyway, due to the national terror threat.

Hopefully the only terror that happens is the swans destroying north!

Let's hope for a good game!

The way I see it, if that sort of terrible event is going to happen, its going to happen - I myself, outside of any overtly obvious things I may see, am not in a position to influence the problem, and therefore there is no need to worry about it - people are paid a lot of money to keep us safe. I think the current incidents are being completely blown out of proportion anyway by a Government wanting to get attention off other deficiencies.

I like it! Swannies by plenty tonight is my tip, made with no confidence at all!

Those Swans have jolly good timing, certainly better than some I can think of!

I have to admit to some nerves. Only because I've been to plenty of North games that we should have won and unaccountably, lost. But as someone said in the pre-match thread, absolutely everything is in our favour tonight. Let's just hope Benny gets through unscathed.

No members bar?? True? I've arranged to meet friends there. Oops.

No prediction from me. Too nervous to think straight at the moment. It's up to the players now and hoping for the best.

Remember how good it was when we never expected to win and then had the delicious feeling when it happened?

Now if we lose, according to Robbo it's a choke.
