What I dont get is that we may have wanted to trade a high paid player for a lower paid player plus picks. We lost Mal and O'Keefe s I dont see the salary cap being an issue.

It should now be quite clear to all that this was never about issues. It was only about punishment.Comment

What a pile of frog @@@@ this has turned into (sorry Frog, no offence!)
If I were the swans, I'd be taking up the offer of the five free QCs, and have them sort it out.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Annie, whilst I agree with you it will not happen going by the following extract of Andrew Ireland.
"While we consider the matter closed, we remain disappointed by the decision to ban the Club from the 2014 trade period, and to continue to restrict the Club in 2015."Comment

Ireland's comments make clear Gil is a total fraud. I have no doubt Gil will one day be busted wearing nappies, sucking on a pacifier, bent over the knee of a 400lb mama and being slapped and pleading: "I'm sorry mother, punish me more". Oh wait, that's his relationship with Eddie.'Delicious' is a fun word to sayComment

Congratulations to Heeney ????.
He said in an interview that he didn't even know about the award when he found out he was nominated.
I was wondering why I hadn't heard a word from Eddie after the game until I read he is in Dubai. It has been funny seeing how many people in the media have brought up Eddie when discussing Heeney and making fun of what his reaction will be!Comment

While on the topic of Sydney v Collingwood, why are we playing them so late this year? Seems convenient for Eddie and co this time around.Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sectorComment

I hope Heeney has a day out when we play them!!!!Comment

Some in the media are suggesting that the trade bans placed on Essendon for lack of governance/drug saga (through their own fault) and the fact that they couldn't take a significant part in the draft for 2 years is a factor for their performance now.
Will we see the same level of tolerance for the Swans (if indeed we do drop down the ladder, which I hope we will not) regarding the trade bans the AFL (VFL) placed on us last year and this year? I think not. Add to that the fact that we have done nothing wrong.Comment

The difference between us and Essenscum Yvonne is that we have depth.
And a decent coach.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Everyone has seen the latest on this issue? Now we can only trade in average salary players, regardless of who we trade out. Just ridiculous.
Swans can't even trade Buddy, Tippett for a good playerComment
