Why am I not having a hard time believing the validity of this story?

Ah our old mate Fitzpatrick, he of ANZ Stadium fame......
It'll be so interesting to see how this one pans out. The Swans have clearly been made to suffer for 'stealing' Buddy from under GWS's noses - I can't wait to hear how the AFL explain all this away....Comment

I love the last comment about the trading ban. I still don't know why we haven't taken them to court over it...Comment

The 3 points of the triad. I mentioned this group previously. Eddie McGuire spewing since the Goodes incident against Collingwood in 2013 and the 'King Kong' episode later in the year having McGuire exposed as a 'fraud' of the 'level playing field' and trying to hurt the Swans with the academy.
Fitzpatrick the second prong of the triad, has been exposed as a tyrant dictator trying to manipulate the rules, for his own ends for GWS and the HAWKS. Because the Hawks lost their deal with Fitzpatrick, they have been allowed to select everybody out of free agency as compensation, with no repercussion.
The third prong with McLachlan driving the bus through the Swans club in the week of the 2014 Grand Final trying to destabilise the team with the 'Trading Ban' and we played the worst game for 15 years. Also that the Swans picked up Tippett after the AFL was trying to trade Tippett into the Gold Coast Suns team. The AFL was exposed as being poor list managers being unable to land Tippett and Franklin into the teams the AFL selected.
Just add the 'Bondi Billionaires' term, lying about the 'COLA', telling lies about the salary cap for the Swans, "you can't have everything" regarding why the trade ban was created, with the 3 most powerful men in the AFL all circling like sharks around the Swans, taking every bite they can.
The triad has been slowly building for several years using McGuire's media exposure to turn people away from the Swans and with the Swans going from being many peoples 'second team' to being despised by the supporters of other clubs and much of that has overflowed into the Goodes issue. They have sneakily turned appreciation for the Swans to just bad old school of hate.
Nothing will change in the short time because the AFL and McGuire created the monster after being humiliated as being ineffective, immoral and unethical and turned all their scorn on the Swans. I have never seen a club punished for following all the rules, in any code or sport, and the Swans are just the target for the AFL.Comment

Not surprising, but somewhat depressing. The "Mafia don" comment seems most appropriate. And the AFL as list managers! - not just a clash of interests but utterly outrageous.
The upside is that we are now in a position to put a bit of pressure back on the Commission. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment
