Wow, the fixture isn't kind to the Victorian based members, 4 games + a hard to get into Geelong game?
Doesn't seem fair considering around 25% of the supporter base if in Victoria
    Chillin' with the strange Quarks

There will want to be a significant drop in the price of the Melbourne memberships if they are hoping to keep fans as members.

You know what? Sometimes I wish our heritage wasn't based in South Melbourne because then i feel i have to exclude swan supporters when i moan about victorians, who lets be honest, have made swan supporters enjoyment of the game in the past few years unpleasant.

          Special mention to hawk fans.

I never get too fussed about the draw. It's the sort of thing you can only evaluate in retrospect. Having only 2 Sunday games is pretty good, so there aren't many 6 day breaks. You can't worry about the quality of the opponents; I prefer the Swans playing good opponents often.

As for Collingwood, they should get an easy draw as they're a crap team and could be seriously contending for bottom 4. I don't think they will be getting as many Friday night fixtures after next season.

Being a Canberra based member and regularly travelling interestate (i.e. not NSW) for games my first impressions are that:

                * 3 Friday and 1 Thursday night game - I'm going to be leaving work early a lot;
                * The Thursday night game is after a Friday night game. Might have to take a week off and camp in Sydney.
                * The Swans play interstate in all 3 weeks that GWS play in Canberra.
                * Unless I decide to have a holiday in WA or Qld, I can only see myself bothering to go to Melb for the Hawks game on May 23 (other than the GF of course). All the Vic games are otherwise against the 'boring teams' (given that it seems impossible to get a ticket to Kardinia Park).
I agree, I wont go to Melb this year either probably go to GC instead - better weather in winter anyway.

According to Rohan Connolly there are seven teams with tougher draws than ours:

2015 AFL fixture: the winners and losers
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I'll be buying mine as usual. I'd rather all my money going to the club I support rather than saving myself a minor amount and see what I do pay going to the AFL or rival clubs.

I agree with his thoughts on our draw, for this years runners up its pretty reasonable from a team perspective in my opinion. I would be feeling pretty ripped off though if I were a Melbourne member.
I think Port are the ones that have really copped it.

Thats fine. so long as your kids dont decide that all of their mates are little bombers and they would rather go with their mates to the footy.

With regards the toughness of the draw you can't predict what is going to happen with the competition, viz teams on the improve vs teams on the decline. Certainly there are presumptions e.g. Saints having a young inexperienced team, likewise Hawthorn having a strong experienced player list. However who would have predicted the turn around of Port Adelaide from 2012 season? It really doesn't matter who we play in the draw. Which teams are going to improve and who are the sliders? Of course this will have a bearing on the draw. We can speculate which teams will improve and those which will slide. However the things which are certain with our draw are 2 trips to W.A. and 17 twilight/night games and only 4 games in Melbourne, which is disappointing for the Melbourne/Victoria based supporters. At the end of the day the draw "is what it is".
