I tuned out after the fourth or so round of put Rohan on the form midfielder of the comp. just filling page after page with nonsense and then repeat again and again.
As for Barry, well he stuck up for his ground and really this is where he's going to vent isn't it? Much like the match threads.
The bigger problem is the waffle king.He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

Barry, I have no problem with you arguing the case for Homebush. Your arguments seem arcane to me, but you have a legitimate and obviously sincere point of view. I'm not from Sydney so I'm interested in a local perspective, however strange it may seem. Personally, I love seeing the Swans play at the SCG, but I'm prepared to accept that there are other points of view.
Your support for Matt, however, gives me pause, as it calls your judgment into question. The way he leaps to the defence of corporate interests is bordering on pathological. His politics are those of a semi-educated neophyte. He is predictable, repetitive and boring. More to the point, however, these topics have no place on a football forum.Comment

I have not expressed any support for anyone, just noted some onservations.
Back to the facts, is the swans are forever jugling playing venues. Scg, manaka, anz. No other club, except maybe north, is so transient. When north leave an area (canberra, sydney, gold coast) the local backlash against them is toxic.
Many here want to brush it under the covers.. like norf supporterrs.Comment

I find the attacks on Matt far more offensive than anything he has ever said. To ridicule and abuse someone because they don't have the same opinion as you is bullying. Thankfully we don't all think the same and maybe if we listened to others we might find our own opinions are wrong.Where's the remote?Comment

I just say that because you had a massive tanty about ANZ.

How can the swans be 'juggling venues' when they've never been a 'home ground' team at Manuka? They were always chosen as an away team down here, on the basis that there are plenty of swans fans down here, and its an easy day trip from Sydney.
Your argument is rather counter intuitive. You criticise the Swans for 'juggling' venues, but your the one that is a strong supporter for them playing at ANZ - which necessitates them juggling venues, as like it or not, the club will never play out of the concrete bunker full time. But at the same time, your also criticising the club for making an announcement that will end this so called 'juggling' of venues - make your mind up already!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

My objection is that this is not the place for them. We are here to talk about footy. Matt's little forays into neoliberal fairyland have only the most tangential relevance to football, and he knows it. He is using this forum as a platform for his spruiking, and it's giving people the @@@@s.Comment

Andy, that's just nonsense I'm afraid. If this was a Young Liberal forum, or a second year political philosophy tutorial, Matt80's opinions would be welcome. (Although they would still be boring and juvenile and repetitive, and his classmates would probably want to throttle him. He would even test the patience of a Young Liberal convention.)

From the reactions he receives, it is quite obvious he is getting under peoples skin.
As DAMY said it is making RWO a less enjoyable place to be.
Many posters have left or just stopped posting.
I cop a lot of "feedback" about him. Which makes RWO less enjoyable for me as well.Comment

What I would love to see is a thread started on a topic where Barry & Matt80 have strongly opposing views ... it'd be like watching 2 pit bull's tugging relentlessly at a very large bone, or an extended rally between Federa & Nadal ... two unyielding forces slugging it out. The opinions might be boring as bat-excrement & wildly irrelevant to football in general & it would easily topple the Tippett thread in posting length, but it'd make for an interesting read & keep them busy enough with each other not to derail other topics that everyone else on RWO are enjoying. That's just my opinion ... but I'd happily sit among a young liberal cheer squad at ANZ stadium to witness it
