I presume the Steve Taubert seal of Approval has been provided. A too sign!

The latest forecast for Saturday looks terrible. Prepare for a similar slog that happened in R23 against Richmond.

McVeigh and McGlynn are missing and, obviously, many people will carry on about Mitchell missing out.

Pyke's there. McVeigh ok but short on preparation time according to Longmire. He said earlier in week that McGlynn was not yet ready.

I will carry on about Mitchell missing out. Especially when laidler is there. Hopefully laidler is only there because it's at anz stadium and the weather is Likely to be bad. Mitchell needs to be in the team ASAP.

Very glad to see Heeney and towers playing. I Would pick towers for sub myself but I have a feeling the club will do its usual and pick Heeney as the debutant for sub.

Heeney id fwd pocket, Towers or Laidler for sub.

Not happy about the weather forecast, we have a terrible record in the wet. Essendon are good odds still :-)

So is Heeney in front of Mitchell in the pecking order or is this a little bit of marketing by the Swans?
If it was an away game would it be different... ... .... (cue x-files theme)the truth is out there.

I really don't understand what we are doing with out back six (seven). So from the GF team we lose Malceski and gain Laidler. But Jetta's been playing down back and given how many kickins he has done during the NAB challenge is be very surprised if that's not where he lines up come Saturday. Plus Reid played a heap of time down back during the preseason too

Nine into seven doesn't work. Maybe Rohan goes forward or Rampe to the midfield as was tentatively offered during one of those fluff preseason pieces on him.

Wonder why Mitchell is always the emergency

I would have played Mitchell as well.

This confirms my theory that John Longmire only wants to play three slower inside midfield extractors. The incumbents are Kennedy, Parker and Bird. One of them will have to be out for Mitchell to get a game.

This theory becomes more clear cut when you have two other midfielders out (McVeigh and McGlynn) and Mitchell still does not get selected.

I had a chance to meet Tom Mitchell last week and he came across as a lovely young man. I hope he gets into the Swans 1st team very soon.
