And in regards to Aboriginal communities overcoming massive disadvantage: well, I think that this is the aspect of this issue that annoys me most. That is, the AFL has made genuine progress over the years in helping to overcome this disadvantage, through a process of discouraging racism, of going out into the communities to run development programs and giving the younger generation genuine role models. But this creative and constructive process is being undermined by the massive egos of the Bolts of this world, who seemingly want to bring back racial vilification to the AFL, to further their own divisive political agendas and to add a couple of ratings points to their own ill gotten audience figures.
