Kennedy has been off this year. He hasn't dominated at the stoppages like in the past and his disposal by both hand a foot have been erratic. I don't think it's the sole reason, but certainly a reason why we're not doing well in the clearances.

Add Shaw to the list of constant butcherers of the ball! We really need to sharpen up or else bring in others who can kick!Nothing new. Lazy work by our midfielders at centre bounces happens every week. We are getting beaten 8 to 2 from the centre against a team that has no midfield. A stat was shown on the screen late in that 2nd Q. 8 to 6 in Carlton's favour of marks from opposition kicks. Do we just cop that Kennedy and McGlynn turn it over by foot every week. Hanners off the outside of the boot (because he has no right foot) was poor late in that quarter, caused a turnover and a shot for goal. Anyone think we are over possessing.Comment

Hey all I care about is that we win - don't care how we do it (well I'm not a fan of the ugly play of old of course) and as long as we have no injuries - I'm happy!I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Over the season I have been looking at the clearances especially as this is a problem area for us. I have figured part of the problem. Pykie might get a lot of tap outs but most go straight to ground or a contested ball. He rarely puts the ball to our advantage. When he hits tyhe ball longer he is good. His long punches last season were wonderful and broke several games open through runners getting onto the ball and kicking goals or hitting players up who did kick goals. This season he has been pretty insipid.Comment
