Can't understand that move either, he's not an impact player he's an accumulator who's been performing run with roles. Mind boggling stuff that he's the sub. At the same token I think Jack starting is the right move with Buddy out, we need goal kickers.

Maybe Buddy told Longmire what he thought about still playing defensive/negative footy and given a rest and Tom was told to stop winning the ball and just defend, so you are the sub. Crazy, crazy days by the coaching think tank or they realised that unlikely to win so give Buddy a rest to recuperate.

Buddy or not, the key to winning today was restricting their quick ball movement through the middle. Keeping Mitchell as a sub indicates to me they want the quicker players like Jack and Cunningham to pressure their ball carriers
