The booing of Goodes will be off the scale. I wonder how it will effect the team.

Reckon? I think it's mostly died down. I'd be hoping that generally more respect will be shown.

Don't underestimate the WA crowds. They will take every dirty advantage they can.

This finals series pits us against the biggest booers (racists) in the comp. WA teams and hawks. I have a feeling it's going to get ugly ..... and of course the AFL will do nothing.

Which may help convince Jetta he should stay in Sydney

              1) Let Hodge get away with drink driving.
              2) Only a two week holiday for Hodge for deliberately attempting to end Wingards career.
              3) Letting Sam Mitchell get away with cheating and crippling Walker and Fyfe.
              4) Banned us from trading for following the rules.
              5) Didn't allow us to rest players but let Freo get away with murder.

The AFL (Langford, Fitzpatrick and co.) seriously want the hawks to win this years Premiership. Langford should not even be on the AFL commission because his son is on a playing list.

The difference this time around is that Goodesy and the team will be mentally prepared for the inevitable booing and will hopefully be better equipped to ignore it. I am sure the team will talk about the possibility and how best to react.

The worst thing would be for the media to bring the issue up, or bring it up in such a way that the booers will boo long and loudly just to defend their right to boo. Maybe Jets will do another dance!!

Given most of Freo's team had the week off, I'm surprised they elected for a Sat game over a Friday game.

Was it up to Freo to decide when & where to play
I assumed this was the AFL
                  Didn't know this

                  Cheers

As minor premiers, Freo was able to elect when they wanted to play and preferred a full 7 day break, therefore moving QF1 to Saturday afternoon (which also gives the loser an extra day's break vs winner of the EF2)

                      If you look at freo.
                      1) rest players
                      2) patchy recent form
                      3) asking for a longer break .

This is what a tired, injured team does. They sound ripe for the picking

Bird looked tired and sore in the ressies feed that I watched on Sat. I'd be very surprised if he is selected for a final on Subi.

McGlynn is probably not quite 100%, but you know he'll give 100% and I believe he is next in line after McV and Smooch to come back in...
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

I think it'd be at our own peril to talk down Freo but has there ever been as much speculation about a minor premiership side. When was the last time minor premiers had a percentage of 118% or less? I think they've either been preserving themselves very well for the finals or theyve completely fallen apart. Only the weekend will tell. Feeling pretty tense about it

The bookies are giving Sydney bugger all hope of winning this game .
So that will suit us .
They will let Swans supporters have about 10 tickets for the game.
If the Swans play with a nothing to lose attitude , and our bottom six play very very well ... Then ,
It will be an upset !

Heart says a stirring, heart stopping, come from behind victory by 4 pts. Head says a frustrating loss by 30 pts. Nothing to lose Swannies.

Ignoring that great footy cliche, if we don't take it one week at a time then I suspect McGlynn would be likely to come in for the next final- so we probably need to think of whether a full game in the magoos or a quarter as the sub (assuming he wouldn't play out a full game) would be better for him.

I have no idea, I should add!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
