I don't think anyone had any expectations in 2003. That's what made it so wonderful (and makes us think we might pull it off tomorrow). In 2013 I had close to no expectations of us even being competitive. Not only did we have players out injured, half those actually playing looked sore. This year, while we are missing a handful of very important players, at least those in the team look to be as close to fit as players can be by the end of the season. Enough of them have been in good form over the last month to provide some cause for optimism. It will still be a massive achievement to win but I believe they will give a good account of themselves, at worst.

I was very confident we'd beat Adelaide in 2012. Just thought we were the better team, and that the tough games leading up to the finals at least had us steeled for finals footy. This year is the opposite in that regard. It's been a soft lead in. But most of the other top teams have had a soft lead in too.

[QUOTE=mcsquirta;682261]I wouldn't mind if he got it half right. Smiting Perth and Melbourne - I could live with that! We can take Adelaide easy in the grannie!

After watching the "Hayne Plane", I believe that sporting fairytales can happen.

The Swans will win tomorrow night against all the odds.

Even though I think the growth has been exponential on the Zucchinni axis, I think there are exciting possibilities on the remainder of the Z axis.

I must say i wish i had as much confidence as most of you! While I'd obviously love to see a famous swans victory i doubt it'll happen. Just watching the Eagles v hawks game tonight reminds me of the difficult task of winning at Subiaco. The home crowd is usually loud but they reach another level in finals!

I love for everyone to tell me how i wrong i am tomorrow night but unfortunately i don't see it happening. And with all the injuries, who can blame them.

Go Swans, please prove me wrong! ????

P.S. Whatever happens its just great to see the Hawks get a belting in a final! ????

Stirring stuff to see the WC flush the wees and poos.

And if we go down tomorrow night I can handle it if we go down fighting and doing our best. No weak surrenders.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

West Coast were seriously impressive in that win. But did you see the rain coming down after the siren? If that keeps up tomorrow it is going to be difficult to play good football.
