How bloody good was he in '05 semi final. There's a replay on fox footy right now. I really really should be sleeping but I'm enjoying reliving it too much. Was anyone there etc?

Awesome game! Never get sick of watching that last qtr! Just shows how close we were to missing out on that historic 05 premiership! Thanks again Nick! ???? -
I SEE IT, BUT I DON'T BELIEVE IT!
Got most of the whole game. Absolutely riddled with dropped marks, crap kicks for goal.. by Sydney. Serves as a reminder anything can happen come finalsComment

A bizarre game if ever there was one. I remember I was cranky we couldn't buy our (very good) regular seats at the front of the Brewongle top deck and had sit three rows from the back of Brewongle and I got into an argument with some other Swans "supporters" sitting in front of us who complained that we were barracking "too loudly". It had rained all day and it was a messy, mistake ridden game, and for three quarters it looked like we were going to lose. So their ridiculous complaints were like a red rag to a bull, and by the time "The Nick Davis Show" started, there was a very dark mood around our seats. Watching the last quarter again last night, after the MVP thing (what, JPK is not in the Top 5!) finished, you wonder how it is possible for one guy to kick four goals in a quarter when his entire team could only manage three goals in the first three quarters. But he did, and
now every time now I see him out there as a runner in his pink shirt I'm reminded of it. I think a lot of people agree that it was greatest quarter of footy ever played by one guy.Comment

What a game - I went with two non afl supporting work colleagues and we had company tickets in the members. The game was so bad that my two colleagues left at three quarter time and I decided that I should stay no matter how badly our guys were playing.
Lo and behold , one of the greatest quarters of football I have ever watched in terms of excitement and sheer individual brilliance by Davis. Proof that if you have a chance to go to a final , dont miss it - you could never have appreciated the atmosphere at that game from home.Comment

I had a boy around 12 years old in a wheelchair behind me who was becoming more distressed as that quarter drew on. He had tears running down his face with emotion. (In the end I think we all shed a tear or two). That boy is now a man and still goes to most games. I remember his passion every time I see him.Comment

Yeah, I think you might be right.... it might have been the sprinklers. Either way, it wasn't pretty to watch till Davo started slotting them from everywhere. My son reckons he got tagged in prelim against St Kilda the next week, and got a whole two possessions.Comment

I remember. Nick Davis was always one of my favourite players but that night... wow. I remember screaming so hard after goal number 3 that my world went black and I semi-passed out onto my folded up seat. I tried to relax a bit after that, but it was a great comeback. I recall Crouchy was pretty much responsible for keeping us in it up until 3/4 time too.
The following week was the sleepover out the front of the SCG - that was a fun night. Cold and wet, but a great feeling amongst those of us at the front of the line. Fond memoriesLife's not a spectator sportComment

Indeed. Kid was only ten at the time. Maybe it seemed like only two possessions compared to his heroics of the previous week.
Slightly better than that :
