I haven't heard much discussion about a replacement for Jetta. It seemed to me that his role in 2015 was less speeding along the wing, but his disposal was delightful and appropriate (most of the time). It was 'Mitchell-like'.

    Who will step up?

Given the often kick it and hope delivery into the forward half, I am often surprised our forwards can take marks at all. That being said, Buddy seemed to improve his above-the-head skills, over the last coupla years.

the call from a number of RWOer's was that Rohan could become the runner off HBF.
Or Buddy could become more of a winger, his field kicking is up there with Jetta's, goal kicking being another story.

Cunningham is a decent kick too.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I would think Rohan and Heeney are the only two with the engine and skills to do that role....

I think Rohan has all of the tools except the engine (in an endurance sense), it's an area of his game that has always let him down.

I see them as slotting into the wing position - the again I'm old fashioned and still think of positions on the field when we really have about 10 midfielders these days with varying roles

I would still like to see Rohan on one wing and Buddy on the other with Heeney gaining experience and confidence in a similar position to last year. And Reid left to roam CHF, pulling down marks like we know he can.

Rohan and Bud will on the SCG keep roaming around the flanks.............thats if Rohan can keep in the 22........he has serious competition now !!

its on the MCG which the Hawks have the massive advantage playing every 2nd week !!!

It will be really interesting to see how we line up this year, it's a long time since I've felt so excited going into a new season

I'm excited too, the coach was talking about a host of things on SEN radio this morning and it would seem that our our versatilty excites him - think it will be a lot of the same for us this year with our best being very good - great opportunities for some new faces - I hope Hewitt gets a go in the midfield at some stage especially - it has been a long wait for him.

For mine it is a pretty simple equation, Buddy and Tippett have AA years and we are a chance for the flag.

If not then we will struggle to make top 4 but after all the rubbish the last couple of years I'm just looking forward to enjoying my footy again. I simply lost interest in football in 2015 as it was just too depressing, some of it non Swans related (the Essendon crap and of course Phil Walsh) but most of it was Swans related, the Goodes booing upset me enormously and I found the endless petty sniping by Eddie tiresome and infuriating.

This year we can just play football

I see him playing more forward than mids. I like him forward, he keeps the ball in and we score from it.

I think KJ has all the skills to be a dangerous forward once his games are split with a bias to less mid/more fwd time. But that isn't 2016!
In 2015 Kizza played more forward in the first half of the year than mids time. I think he will be a great crumbing forward and we have some really great mids now who kick much better out of clearances than he does. Heeney to move into the mids and Kizza more forward. It will only be Heeney's body that keeps him out of a full time mids position this year.
