I can't believe how underrated Jetta is. He's certainly frustrated me at times but he's a pretty handy footballer who has just had his best season in my view. He'll be very good over there.

On exposed form, it's a complete steal for the Eagles.

Jetta is gone, move on. History shows we make jam out of others @@@@. This guy can play. Mobile, aggressive, can mark, can kick...oh and plays ruck. He will run rings around tippo around the ground. Look at the positives . We needed a ruck/ key position Got one.

I agree he's just has his best season, yet he still only managed to finish 13th in the B&F, well behind players who missed multiple games and were themselves a bit flaky in form. He's frustrating because he could be a top 50 player in the comp (at least for impact) but hasn't yet delivered consistently, and rarely in big matches,

We will miss him though, and there's no-one else on our list with remotely close to his skill set.

Thanks for your service Lewis - we will miss you next year, particularly your pace and kicking, which are two qualities that have been a bit thin on the ground for us recently.
          I agree 100%.

Whatever his issues with homesickness , Jetts has been a gem for us and I thank him for that.

I note the poll result on AFL.COM.AU : it says we got the better of the deal , 59% to 41%.
And as we all know , fans' opinions carry far more weight than those of the coaches.

I'm not at all sure about Sinclair , but I've always maintained that a ruckman's primary role is to provide a contest.
If he can break even on hit-outs , I'll be happy.
He's got to be better than Paul Chambers, I suppose.

He can be Callum or Cal or Callo ,or,if he's really good, earn himself a proper nickname(that is,one which is approved and popularised by RWO-ers.)
Meantime, until he proves himself in battle for us,I will call him Sinclair.

If you read this , young man - know that we expect your complete , unwavering dedication to The Cause .
Nothing less will suffice.Never doubt that.

We should have got pick 38 as well but deals done, move on.

Now to turn pick 14 into more points.

He's not in Tippo's class. As a ruckman, or as a forward.

Great trade in my opinion. Will develop into a very handy ruckman.

Agreed, and he'll probably be earning barely half what Tippett earns.

Had we actively traded Jetta for Sinclair, I'd be pissed off. But Jetta had announced he needed to go back to WA for family reasons, so it's really about making the best out of the situation the club found itself in.

But I guess that has come to an end due to his desire to move back to WA, and was going to happen regardless of this trade. So we have salvaged something out it, filling a need with, at worst, a workmanlike performer. Maybe he'll turn out to be much better than that. I remember being pretty nonplussed when a certain JPK was chased by the club, and we know how that's worked out. I had similar feelings re McGlynn and Shaw and, while their contributions haven't been as spectacular as Joey's, they've still significantly exceeded the expectations I had of them when they arrived.

If Jetta can add consistency to his game, he'll be a big gain for the Wiggles. They lack a player of his kind, and he does two or three things a game that put a big smile on your face. Reality is, though, that is usually is just two or three things a game, and in some games none. He hasn't consistently stood up for us when we most needed him, and his B&F finish this year was pretty ordinary for a player who didn't miss a game. That said, it's hard not to feel a little fondness towards him and, for his sake, I hope he puts together a few years of high level, consistent football out west (but not against us).
I feel a lot of fondness for him. He appears on a segment of Play School I have watched a couple of times with my son - he provides coaching to a young boy who spends a day with the Swans. He is soft, patient and gentle with the boy. In the game the boy then watches live, he misses a goal from point blank.

I hope the crowd treats him well over there. There has always been a lot of warmth for Lewis at the SCG, right back from the string of 19 consecutive behinds and that beautiful moment when he kicked the breakthrough goal (some of the behinds and the goal here). There was a lot of brilliant play to put himself in those goal-scoring positions.

I think Cal is reserved Callum Mills atleast for the short term.

Sinclair the third ruckman? we got from Weagles Jason Ball Mark Seaby and now Sinclair

Interesting to see if sinclair can reach the heights of Ball Jolly Mummy Pyke

Agree with that completely. I'm just surprised at how bullish people are about Sinclair. He's 26 too, not 21. 26 isn't old but I'm not convinced about the improvement he supposedly has left.

He's neither a great forward nor a great ruckman but probably good enough at both to do a decent job in an important role. I like the idea of having mobile ruckmen and if we add Naismith to that category then we should do fine in that department.
Our team will develop a different look, but it should be for the better.

Watching the video above of the game in which Jetta finally kicked his first goal - how young he looks! He has grown into a man at the Swans. Go well Jetts - just not against us!
