Same (300 fans) could have been said about the swans early days.

The swans are probably 2 weeks behind the giants in terms of prep, but this could be the year that the team that represents all that is west of Anzac bridge moves past the swans.

Swans are giving off the impression of a team in slow decline.

Just looking to next year if we miss the 8 we'll get a good pick in the draft around 10. If Reid can get his body right trading Tippett out to a club like Brisbane Freo Carlton Demons Essendon and maybe Saints we can get a first round pick or early second round. It'll clear cap space and we'll have couple good picks or we could do what we did in 09 clear unwanted players and trade for fringe players at other clubs

Damn we may have missed out on a good draft pick by winning the minor premiership????

fauna, those are 3 very good posts. I often hate reading a lot of the reactionary negative posts after a loss (especially in the pre-season) & your 20:20 hindsight puts good perspective on them. Horse (like his mentor) seems aware that an AFL season is a marathon, not a sprint ... timing your finish is everything (injuries pending)
