Home Sweet Home @ the SCG

Given Collingwood's record at Homebush, we probably would have lost to them last night had it been played there.
Glad we didn't, but will never stop thinking we played them too many times there.
    Anyhow glad that's done with

Andrew Pridham, in knocking McGuire's self-serving idea for a Goodes medal attached to Sydney v Collingwood matches, offered an alternative idea:

"Or we could call it the Olympic medal to recognise all the great games we played at the Olympic Stadium together over the years," Pridham said.

Eddie McGuire's 'Adam Goodes medal' idea shunned by the Sydney Swans

Why Collingwood? Is it because their president thought he might be a good marketing choice for the King Kong movie?

I love this, nothing like humour to make Eddie seem so silly

Barry I would much rather a win at the SCG with the 2nd lowest crowd against the pies in the last 10 years especially when you factor in the wins that the pies had at ANZ in this period.
As Royboy said just let it go.

Is the win hiding a problem with declining crowds?

You can watch the crowd, I will watch the team.

Unlikely. We rarely get big crowds in the first couple of rounds, especially when we play during the Easter long weekend.

Thats a long bow. It was only 1000 more than the worst ever crowd at ANZ for a pies game, and well less than half of the best crowd.

But comparing SCG crowds, its 5000 less than last year.

Word is there's 20,000 pies supporters still at homebush waiting for the game to start.....

When have we had a bigger home crowd on an Easter long weekend?
