Loving the input of our most junior players. Heeney and Mills have been great. Papley has had a tremendous game. Hewett has been unspectacular but really cool and collected. Robbo's been alright and getting good experience, heading down the path of (hopefully) Cunningham and Lloyd.
All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

Put Papley down for this week's Rising Star nominee. We've found the small forward that we desperately needed.

Crack and Speed problems. Just contact a Collingwood player.

Otherwise, solid win by the Swans. Give Ted a long term contract. And McWho is back. Our defence was superb although we still need to find a better method to get the ball out of there. Excellent 2nd half from Hewett after a slow start. I think we'll give Papley another 8 weeks on the senior list.

Boy did some RWOers go early on McVeigh and Richards. It has been proved time and time again that it takes all players who have had limited preps to get touch back. Except of course if it is Ben Cousins who is on yippee beans and whatever.

Teddy played a great game but important to remember he played on Cripps and I think Yeo and Reggie did a great job on Kennedy

Papley should be Rising Star this week

Tippett played another good game Nic Nac was almost no where the whole game

Looking ahead at the draw Lions Bombers and Tigers next could easily win these three and go 7-1 and then its Hawks who aren't going that well and North at home every thing goes our way injury wise could be 9-1

great all rnd effort today no one was really carried by the rest..mcglynn had a great game i thought...our engine room was brillant today though with their clearance work

i thought tippo did a great job against nic nat.... what i dont get though is wc always tap straight down and time and time again we let one of their players stroll through right under the ruckmen....(sorry just a bug bear of the day)

again the umps were not kind to us in front of goal..poor paps copped 2 in the head and then in the back, and not one free for us when WC did the same as tippo did on nicnac with good body work......

Woowoden won a browlow as loose man in defense. So did cooney.

Defense was outstanding. Hanners superb and Papley, a joy to watch.

Fletcher extended his career by moving from key position defender to 3rd defender. Maybe teddy can do the same.

Thought it was an excellent all round performance today, with everyone various shades of good. Agree with the previous positive assessments of all the mentioned players, but one unexpected bonus for me, was seeing George Hewett gradually get on top of a class player like McGovern.

Agree re Hewett - he is a calm player which is a real bonus (and at times an attribute missing with other Swans' players).
