Saw a real footballer who came of age tonight who is just going to add to our midfield depth - Hewett. Watch him closely, just slicesc through traffic and composed, he is going to be a very good player.

Also want those idiots who wanted to drop Reg to put their hands up and hang their heads - idiots!

Harry is gradually finding his spot in the team. He isnt a player that ever is going to light up the highlights but he is ever improving.

As for nick smith - he is such a great contraceptive pill for bruce and cyrils ongoing love in! He was superb on him when cyril went up forward

Here you go. Without putting his contract in front of you, will this do?

Agree re Rohan. I have a bad habit of under-rating players who have been out injured (I was a bit negative on McGlynn too) but that was a brilliant breakout game. I tend to see him a rebounding half back flanker but with his speed you'd have to consider him up forward with Heeney and Buddy.

Rampe is definitely in AA form, his development is nothing short of amazing. Agree re Tippett too, he is an absolute workhorse and he contributed on the scoreboard too.

Hewett is still young and I expect he will still continue to drift a bit in and out of games for the next year or so but there is something there that is quality. I think it is his composure more than anything, can see him being a 10 year player for us
Mug, as an avid viewer of the Sydney AFL scene, did Rampe destroy the amature players during his 2012 season with UNSW?

Seems like he is a brilliant athlete at AFL level. He would have been Usain Bolt at Sydney AFL level.

Reading that all those players are under 25 makes me so happy. Seems like we have a very bright future without even considering bottoming out. Good times to be a Swans supporter

At least one of Reg and Rampe deserve Brownlow votes tonight, if not both. If neither get any it'd be a travesty of the highest order.

A great effort from both of them tonight.

Rampe not Reg. Rampe would have to be in our top 5 players

Agree. We saw the arrival of Hewett tonight. A serious young player.

Rampe is seriously impressive at the moment. Thought he was our best defender last year and has only proved it this year.

The guys who cost us our COLA and the trading restrictions, Tippo and Buddy, are showing that it was all worth it. And the academy draft revisions - Heeney - worth it. They've been fantastic all year.

Hewett finally shows why I've been singing his praises since he walked through the door. Jake Lloyd has bounced back strongly after a couple of sluggish games.

Only negative for me was Sinclair. If he can't improve his marking he'll drop down to our last ruck option fairly quickly. Naismith and Nankervis can both ruck, mark the ball well and kick goals.

We still have work to do on our centre clearances and need to move the ball much faster out of defense. There were plenty of times we held the ball in our defense with players were running into open space only to kick the ball to a contest.

And Tom Mitchell...to hear Hanna's post game interview. He said Tom Mitchell was barking orders like Macca and has never seen him run two way like he did tonight. I think the coach will give Tom the 5 votes too.

I find Bruce's homo-erotic man crushes most unprofessional, I really wish he'd knock the top off it before coming on air because his commentating tonight was nothing short of embarrassing

After last week's abomination, a win for the ages.

We didn't have any passengers tonight, even if some didn't have their usual output. I was much impressed with the way everyone dug deeper to hold things together after we lost Teddy. The umpires had a mixed game, but thankfully in the end we got what we deserved - a win as the better team on the night.

My personal favourites were: Gary Rohan - I was up out of the chair; Rampe, gutsy and amazingly athletic; Hannebery, huge input, and ticked off S Mitchell for an attack of zeal - the bloke has white line fever; Tippett - nearly as awkward as LRT, but a good ruck man, and a very good forward; Smithy - a classic; Heeney - inspires the others as he ignites the crowd; George Hewett - the future is bright; Harry C - love his hard work, determination and second and third efforts. That'll do for tonight.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Sinclair isn't the finished article wither by any stretch of the imagination, still young for a ruckman in terms of age and games. He just needs to keep on working hard and over time the marks will stick a bit more but he does provide a good contest and I like his workrate. From what I've seen he is still a fair way ahead of the other two rucks you mention, I see Nanka as a long term third ruckman who plays 4-6 games a year and ekes out a good honest 75 game AFL career

He has plenty of brownie points in the bag but I thought Parker was poor tonight, it was so out of character I would not be surprised if he is playing hurt at the moment. He may need a break if that is the case

Great win after the sourness of last week.
Highlights for me were Rampe having a blinder. Tippett again just dominating contested situations, reckon the coaches have got into him about using his size and strength ala mummy. I don't think he's awkward at all. Hewett had his best game yet, the finding space in tight situations is great to watch. Grundy sticking it up the haters.
                                Negatives
Sinclair - hope Tippett stays healthy.
Parker is obvs carrying a knee injury, it's heavily strapped. He's lost is vertical leap and sidestep. He was better than last week but wonder if he will have to play with it all season.
