If he had a small quantity for his personal use, Police would not have arrested him. The fact that they have, tells me it was more than just personal use!!Comment

Really disappointed by this. Thought Talia was a great pick up and was looking forward to see if he'd slot back into the side in the back half of the year.

I haven't! He's a silly boy......who shows a lack of focus on our clubs core values. Future as a Swan now in doubt. Pity.Comment

On afl.com.au
"It will be alleged they saw two men enter an alcove in a laneway. A subsequent search of the pair found a small plastic bag, alleged to hold cocaine."
"A 23-year-old was issued with a field court attendance notice for the possession of a prohibited drug."Comment

So it's not like he was pill popping or something serious. On afl.com.au

Anyhoo, check out the photos on the bar's website. Total bordello feel. The booths for hire must have seen a bit of action in their time.

That's not correct, Police will arrest for small quantities. The amount classified as "not just for personal use" is surprisingly low and there's not a lot that can be read into it.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I was so worried when I saw the headline on SMH...but thank god it's only Talia. Wouldn't even notice if he never played for us again.Comment
-
Minor detail, but does it count as a strike if the player is just caught with the substance rather than use it?
Lucky he debuted to avoid the Lovett award..He ate more cheese, than time allowedComment

If they're found to be in possession the AFL can take it as an adverse finding, similar to refusing a test.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Part of me has an issue with the whole drug testing for recreational drugs but I still find it staggeringly stupid on talia's behalf. You're 24 and on $300-400k a year and all you need to do is not take illegal drugs, geez you wouldn't think it's a hard decision
I suspect we will rip up his contract if we can legally and tip his salary into the bucket for good KPD. If Tom does leave then money will not be an issue and even if he stays then we may be OK.
We were facing some brutally difficult decisions re list management at season end anyway with the unexpected development of our rookie list. All this does is make the decision easier.Comment
