This will be another tough game. Particularly given the inexperienced ruck duo. A big issue for Fremantle this year has been a poor attitude, letting games slip away easily. There should be no problem in that regard this game, Pavlich's 350. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they played McGlynn just for his experience.

I'm thinking about the selections.
I think papley hewett nankervis and xavier will play be the selected four.
I also think that Mcviegh will also be replaced in the team. Depending on what the coaches want I think they will replace him with Richards or mcglynn. I'm thinking Richards myself allowing Cunningham to play more forward.
Will be interestingComment

Fremantle don't have a particularly tall forward line. Playing Ted, especially in the predicted wet weather wouldn't make much sense.Comment

I expect Nankervis in for Sinclair. McVeigh in if he's fit, either for Hewett or Foote. Otherwise I expect last week's team to line-up. Longmire was very lukewarm about Ben'n'Ted's performances in the NEAFL last week - with good cause. Neither was terrible, but nor did either look way too classy for the level, or more likely to contribute than any of the players in the senior team. I imagine they've been taken over to Perth as emergencies in preference to any of the kids just because the number of kids is getting close to critical mass. But I'd be surprised if either is selected in the final 22 unless someone else is injured.Comment

I resume the team will head over tomorrow. We haven't beaten Freo over there for a long time. I'm guessing that McVeigh will be a welcome return for some stability. It looks like the rain will clear by the afternoon but still windy. We have to kick straighter in the breeze than we did at our home ground. Need endurance runners on the long nature strip of that ground. Not sure about Teddy or Benny. But I'll bet Horse will be picking the strongest team he can field. Thank goodness we still have some ruckmen, unlike a game against Port years ago when Roos said he'd rucked as an under 15 and might have to pull the boots on again.
Go Swankies - a win this weekend (ideally with %) would go a long way to settling our Top 4 aspirations, especially as some other games are no certs. I hope the bloody Blues play as well against the Hawks as they did against us!

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment
