From we saw on the weekend, I'm guessing both Sinclair and Nankervis are hurt and struggling to be fit. Well I hope that is the extent of it, if Naismith is also in doubt we are in trouble.

Nah, we can just bring back Benny to play in the ruck!
More seriously, even if Naismith is fine to go and it's only the second ruck that is the issue, Towers is likely to fine himself filling in at some points of the game. (It's a good thing Sandilands is still out injured.) The other player physically capable of pinch hitting in the ruck is obviously AA. He's almost certainly got some experience at underage level in the ruck, and possibly a little in the NEAFL. But I imagine they'd be loathe to move him from the defensive post that he is still settling into unless they really have no other options.
I think lean towards Benny. Is there anything in the rules saying he can't be thrown (by say JPK) into the air in the centre circle to get a bit of extra height.
I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Here are the average disposals per game this season for our regular defenders....
Jarrad McVeigh 20.4
Dane Rampe 17.8
Heath Grundy 15.6
Zac Jones 13.9
Allir Allir 13.0
Nick Smith 12.8
Jeremy Laidler 12.3
Ted Richards 9.8
Are these effective disposals?
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
