Teddy and McGlynn. No thanks. Not for this week anyway.

I'd play Teddy against North, GWS or Adelaide.

Can't see the sense in playing McGlynn at all. I've been a huge fan of his over the journey but he hasn't delivered the sort of forward pressure required for his role this year.

They sweat on turnovers and bringing the ball to ground and then rushing it out to leading players. They then look to get the ball over the top to other runners retreating into their forward 50.
Rohan, Towers, Franklin, Heeney and Papley should be able to provide the inside 50 pressure to plague their disposal efficiency coming out of defence and assist in breaking down this system. X. Richards is not quick but playing from the goal square he has been able to exert pressure on their tall defenders. This may be moot against Port as they don't really have any.
If Lloyd is unavailable I believe they may go with B Jack before the finals to see if he is worth keeping at this level or if he should be let go. If X is to go perhaps Newman or Leonardis may be tried for similar reasons.
Agree with most of that Graeme but X is actually quite quick. His tank has been the main concern as far as I understand.

        Thanks Scottee.
I must admit I have not seen him run down players but I remember him getting caught with the ball by Boekhurst after breaking free from the backline and perhaps was misled by this incident.

On the basis of Longmire's press conference, I think Lloyd might miss, which is a bummer as his outside run is important for us. I think Laidler will come in with a big game needed from Cunningham.

I suspect that an unchanged line up falls under the category of, 'no news is good news'. I also suspect, that going in unchanged is a fairly uncommon thing?

                      Same with Buddy

Nankervis and Allir are a bit lumbering, less so Allir
Hmmm, I'd put Tippo in the 'somewhat lumbering' category.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Well he is in the side to cut the opposition's tall timber down to size.

Sorry, had missed out on the Foote puns.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

No but he is very good with chipping the ball around.

I bet barry will appreciate this, apart from Macca staying in the side

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
