Date confusion re ticket sale for Semi-final v Crows

Ignore Barry, there are a stack of bus routes that take you close to the SCG + the special event shuttle buses from Central. See details here:

Moore Park - Bus - Tickets, Opal card and fares - Tickets | transportnsw.info

Also stack of buses from Circular Quay that go via Anzac Parade or Oxford Street.

I highly recommend NOT driving with the intent of parking anywhere near the SCG. And if you take a regular bus, either get off at the last stop in Flinders Street (on buses going via Anzac Parade) or take a bus going down Oxford Street and get off either at the stop virtually opposite the Verona movie theatre or the next stop opposite Paddington Town Hall (depending on which stand/entrance you want at the SCG - look at Google maps). In each case, a short walk from there.

What you want to avoid is the traffic gridlock around the Anzac Parade/Moore Park Road vicinity.

I favour a park and walk approach (unless the weather is nice and I have plenty of time, in which case I just do the walk part). Other than on race days at Randwick, it's dead easy to park on Darley Road, the other side of Centennial Park, from where it's an easy (and pleasant) 20-30 minute walk to the SCG. It's especially good for early afternoon games where it's still light enough to walk back through the park on the way home.

I found the UNSW park and shuttle service to be really good as well.

A train into central, then a light rail straight to the ground will be much more convenient than buses or walking.
Will the light rail be passing by Central?
I didn't think it went down that far.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
