The second part of a sling tackle is where the intent is. Players that have done it in the past once they realised they have both players arms pinged and the player has no control then they make that extra effort to slam the head and body.

Its a pathetic tackle tbh as its designed to injure. Its the same when in RL they outlawed that horrid spear tackle and then the shoulder charge. Both methods were designed to inflict maximum hurt to the player at the receiving end.

Is it just me but Johnsons arm looks photo shopped. The outline is not continuous, the skin colour doesn't match and has a different resolution. Believe me, i would love it if it was his elbow, to validate my anger towards him, but i have my doubts about its authenticity.

What about the chicken wing? That pisses me off badly... it gets done over and over and it's perfectly ok.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Another one thats crept in, but its mostly done by Rioli and the fanbois in the media refuse to call him out on it. One day he is going to dislodge an arm and the player on the receiving end will get suspended for making Cyril look bad and reducing Bruce to tears.

It is annoying, not to say dangerous, but I suspect it's done to reduce the player's chance of a legitimate disposal. A kick is all he has left. It would practically disappear if they allowed the player to bounce the ball.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I created that image. Simply go to the AFL vid, pause exactly at 00.17 and you can see the hit. I just took a print screeen of the the paused video and converted to jpg.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

The decisions of the MRP in relation to Johnson and Mumford are appalling. How can they disregard such blatant proof. Is there an avenue of appeal in these situations.

Does Fitzpatrick really have this much power?

Do they want a Swans / GWS grand final just for the publicity it would bring to Sydney?

They can't have both whorethorn and GWS in the GF.

Yep. Basically the AFL is his little cash cow and he runs it from behind the scenes. Gil is there as a puppet but him and few others he appointed have set up things to benefit them in the long run.

And now with almost full control of AFL news you wont hear anything bad about the code or those that run it and it will be nothing but propaganda stories. Thats why we are getting nothing but positive stories about GWS and how good it is for the whole competition. Its sickening but people in Melbourne have been played big time. Many are now starting to wake up to how damaging GW$ will be to the chance of their club winning a flag in the next 5 years. Victorians have been kept distracted with the hawk 3peat.

Yeah it all sounds like a conspiracy, but the AFL are hardly trying hard to disguise it, are they.

Good to see Finlayson get 4 weeks (down to 3 weeks with early plea) for his hit on Jones. GWS becoming the home for dog acts.

All decisions by the MRP were on the lenient side this week.

That crow bloke who kicked Wells (?) in the knee while tripping him got off with a fine!

All the punches thrown in the hawks/cats game got fines.

But this is nothing new, finals thuggery has always been tolerated.

I think its time the club start to have an edge, because being nice guys who play within the rules and spirit of the code is kinda being laughed at, especially when the comp is run by ex players who thrived on punching back of heads and throwing elbows around when they played in the 70s and 80s.
I always thought Fitzpatrick was a bit on the tame side. Not the type to stand-up to the Mummy types.
