Yes, and Papley does have a bit of physical similarity to Buchanan.Comment

Superb win by the boys, so proud of how we bounced back after last week.
Even with the injuries we are every chamce against the cats - bring it on!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Mills seemed pretty determined to play next week in the halftime interview with Channel 7.

We have our injury concerns but i feel we are a big chance to beat the cats next week and then who knows come the big day. But whatevet happens, 2016 has been another good year for our club and the future is looking bright!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

No way. We are in this up to our necks and this is ours to lose. Anything less than a premiership is a failure. We didn't sign Buddy to make up the numbers in finals... We are here to win.Comment

I've heard that Rohan has a heavily bruised knee. Will miss next week but might be right for GFComment

On our injured players and selections:
Tippet. Would we really play someone with a broken jaw in a prelim?. He doesn't play injured well and i don't think he and nainsmith are a good combo. Tippet is good when he's injury free and first ruck.
Rohan. I would be amazed if he plays again this year. His finals form had been ordinary when fit. He may get back in for the GF simply because of lack of alternatives.
Mcveigh. Calf strain at his age is 2 week minimum. This could be a blessing in disguise . Jones is a better player for the same role.
Mills. I would not risk him this week, but hold him back for the grand final.
Others: while a fine win on the SCG, i still think mcglynn and nankervis would be exposed on the MCG. Might be ok against similarly slow geelong. But not against GWS or dogs.
Very interesting selections coming up.Comment

How remarkable is Aliir? Only a dozen games in to his career and he picks up 21 disposals (a career high) in a SF, just watching a bit of the replay this morning and it's surprising how often he is around the fall of the ball whenever Adelaide tries to go forward.
I just can't remember a more composed young key defender, it was obvious from his first game that he was not remotely overwhelmed or intimidated by the step up to AFL level. Truly a credit to the whole coaching staff who have been involved in his development (and obviously to Aliir himself!).I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment
