It was unexpected last time, Ted's first game as a forward in years. X has been playing forward ever since the last Geelong game, no element of surprise this time aroundComment

Going on my cats, we need three players to spray catnip on their guernseys and maybe sew a couple of bells onto their socks, that should prove a decent distraction for the cats.Chillin' with the strange QuarksComment

It was also to counteract henderson being 3rd man up if I recall correctly.
I notice Henderson is suddenly a possible selection. Are they playing games with us ?Comment

I reckon we might have played Pyke, Mummy and Tippo together in the back half of 2013. Of course then we just considered Kurt a forward or forward-ruck if need be.All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

Yeah but back then Tippett was a stay at home forward; Pyke was still fast (don't forget his run against the All Blacks), was 2nd in the league for contested marks, & was essentially a forward/ruck rather than a ruck/forward (I think he kicked about 28 in 2013); Mummy was our number one ruckman. In fact, as talls, they were all pretty mobileComment

Nice to see LRT as a "go-to" for some thoughts on injury and selection.

The psychology is important. If you know you're not quite right, playing on your mind constantly...not good. I'd rather see the strongest team in practice than the best team on paper.Comment
