Melbourne peeps... which app do I download for getting around on public transport?Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

So Yeah...WE ARE INTO THE GRAND FINAL!!
Qantas, from Sydney to Melbourne. I've just checked the flight status page, looks like mine is the only Qantas flight Syd - Melb cancelled but all other flights for the day seem to be running 1-2 hours behind schedule. I've still not heard back from Qantas so no idea when I'm going!
I think Swans fly with Virgin(?). Just checked their flights, three Syd - Melb for this afternoon have been cancelled. They haven't updated flight times on other flights so I don't know if Virgin also have delays but I wouldn't be surprised.
My guess is that the chaos in Adelaide late yesterday/overnight is the cause of the flight delays. And if so, it is likely to be causing problems out of and into all airports, not just Syd. So if you've got an interest from somewhere else I suggest you check on the online flight status page.
Ps: further update - I've just checked Qantas page again, think I must have been reading it incorrectly before (stooopid!). Almost all flights are still listed as on time (couple of Jetstars have small delays). But mine is still cancelled ??[emoji25]Last edited by Meg; 29 September 2016, 11:23 AM.Comment

Despite living in Melbourne I have never been to a GF parade so tomorrow I'm going. The Vic government made it a public holiday.
See you all there. I'll be the bloke with the Swans scarf.
Yeah, the media has gone nuts over the dogs. It seems the Swans are an afterthought. All the media experts are predicting the doggies to win but the betting odds show the Swans are clear favourites.Comment

The media are saying that the Swans experienced a similar situation when they had not won a flag for 72 years. That's BS***. We got crucified by umpiring in the first final against west coast and I believe without the outcry of Sydney papers stating "we were robbed" the bias umpiring would have continued throughout the finals. There was not overwhelming support for us in 2005, especially in Melbourne, that's why I don't have a SOFT spot for a Bulldogs win.Comment

Agree with bb. Tram tracker is probably the only one if you are in or near the CBD.
