OMG there is tool of a Swans supporter in front of me. Some of his pearlers:

A Dogs player was awarded a free for too high ... "that's BS! utter BS!" wheb the replay showed the Dog had his head ripper off his shoulders ... "He ducked!"

"Deliberate!" ... the ball fell short of going out of bounds by about 10m

"Xav Richards, earn your money son!" ... Xav would have to be one of the lower paid Swans out there.

"That's @@@@@@! That's BS! Excuse my French but it's a @@@@@@ decision" with 2 young kids next to him ... buddy, @@@@@@ is not a French word.

It was funny watching his eyes bulge at first, after a half of football, it's getting annoying

I have, as usual, turned off the commentary...it's clear that the AFL establishment want a Bulldogs victory...I don't get it...surely they realise that a successful Sydney team is a win for the league? If the Swans are successful it will translate to more members for both Swans and GWS...yet the short sighted morons of the AFL and C7 can't see that a fairly adjudicated and evenly presented Grand final will ensure the future of their beloved game...

Just stupid from all points of view..

Anyway, come on Swans, just destroy those parochial idiots of the AFL...

Gee I hope the umps review the half, I harp on about it, I know, but a couple of deserved free kicks will really go a long way in helping the Swans. We deserve a fair go.

A goal resulted about 5-10 seconds after the 50 was paid.
Similar to the 50m when McVeigh threw the ball to the wrong player in the first half when he thought it was their free. When it is the GF you'd think there would be a bit of benefit of the doubt, but apparently that went out the window today.

Joey is obviously making a very strong claim for the Norm Smith. Mitchell, Hannebery, Parker, Jack, Jones, Smith and Rampe, even Naismith, could all make a second half claim. Hope they have a magic potion for Buddy's ankle. Having our main target not being able to get any separation has been a problem.
If we get some half decent umpiring in the second half, we should be able to gradually wear them down. If not, be prepared for a heart stopper. And be prepared for some full on angst.

They paid the 50 because Heeney kicked it away after the free was given. But he didn't hear the umpire and about a minute before that the boundary rider on the radio said that the players can't hear the umpires because the noise is too loud.

Mills is very shaky. Hopefully he has a better second half.

If they mention on the tv anything about Buddy's injury can someone please post. My brother said he was grimacing.

Given the umpiring and the fact we have a totally malfunctioning forward line, I'll take it so far. Not sure our midfield could be doing more and Grundy immense.

12 frees to 4. If that starts going our way I think we can break the dogs. They've scored 2 or 3 goals off turnovers. Hopefully experience will show.

Mills looks like someone who has only played one and a bit quarters of football in six weeks. Just a little off the pace at the moment hopefully he picks it up.

Does the free kick count include when the opposition kicks the ball out of bounds?

He stepped on Hewett's foot when he rolled it, didn't look good so he's obviously trying to not push on it when he's marking hence the handballing rather than kicking from him. They said it got strapped and probably jabbed too when he went down to the rooms. Wouldn't be surprised if he needs another one to numb away the pain.

Don't forget their two 50m penalties.

He rolled his ankle early in the 1st quarter. It is limiting his movement and run.
