I'm nervous about this one. Think the Swans will eventually win comfortably. Swans by 28

Without Aliir & Heeney team lacks a fair bit.
Should still win by about 4 goals - home ground, Port are a bottom half team.

Ah, round 1. The thrill of the first bounce. Only hope and dreams. Swans by plenty! Heading to the SCG now, it's going to be a warm one and maybe a brief light shower later.

I am always nervous about Port games but, I think, we have a pretty good record against them don't we, even when they were really good few years back?

Found it: 15w 5L over the last 20 games and we have room the last five.

Its a pleasant afternoon here at the SCG - looking forward to the first step today towards redemption for 2016.

                Come on you mighty Swannies!!

Sound is not working at the ground, we may be spared Sweet Caroline at quarter time

The best part of that quarter was when Fitzpatrick was shown sitting next to the Chinese premier and the crowd booed!

                        Hanners still can't kick.

That third man up ruck rule is a joke. It should only be paid if someone actually jumps up and not if you are just standing there and the ball comes to you. Could have cost us a goal then.

Oh forgot to mention it is great to have Reid back.

Interesting we are adopting the Eddie Betts tactic of a forward starting at the back edge of the square at centre bounces and running forward

Too bad most of the time it's Towers in this role.

Poor kicking into the forward line by Jack and Hanners and defensive forward pressure has to lift. Not good out of the middle, AGAIN.

Naismith is poor. Jumping way too early and giving us nothing out of the guts. Why doesn't he use his height and just stand there. For whatever reason wants to jump at Ryder.

Naismith is getting smashed in the middle. Get him out of the centre bounces. Really poor and is giving Port easy clearances.
