I met Plugger and he was friendly, if not a bit quiet and it took a while to get him going. But once he opened up he was quite friendly. He is a very reserved person, a quiet type. My brother is the same. He was reading a book one day and I said to h'how's it going', his reply 'I'm reading @@@@ off'. Very quiet but at other times really friendly.

        Out: Sinclair, Florent, Hewitt

This would allow Newman to play off the half giving Lloyd and Jones more minutes in midfield.
Why bring Tippett back in when he has an average of 5.3 disposals and 10.7 HO and managed only 2 goals. Sinclair on the other hand has averages 13 disposals, 16.6 HO & kicked 4 goals. Tip is sadly out of form, carrying on from the GF really. He needs reserves time and possible a trade at season's end.

Hewee has averages 17.9 disposals, 6.3 tackles. He hasn't impacted the scoreboard but I think is learning how to play Swans mid role. It's ok to play mid in the NEAFL but an entirely different proposition playing on AFL mids. He'll be ok.

Although Towers seems to be getting some of that action in his new role and taking midfield time from Hewett. I have high hopes for Towers as a midfielder. 20 disposals of which 10 contested on Sunday.

Do people think Horse's comments about AA mean he'll come back if we need a 3rd tall defender this week? And does that mean Marsh would lose his spot?

That was the impression I got. Without Waite we probably won't need the extra tall but you would think AA would be next in if another tall defender was required

Newman, Tippet and Rohan added to the squad. No outs yet.

I hope Tippet and Rohan make their way back into the team via the ressies. Newman in and maybe rest Florent.

Hopefully tipper just plants in goal square and plays as a forward. That way 4 kicks - 4 goals is a good return. One out he's a beast....in the air.
Hewitt I agree himand Cunningham are my worry. Hewitt plays better as a fwd , Ritchie got lucky last week with 2 goals.Newman has to play and kick out. No more sideways . Long and running please.

I expect the outs to be Marsh, Sinclair and Newman

Great news that Rampe should be back on deck next week, pretty much a full squad now and it will be harder and harder to get a senior spot. Sinclair, Cameron, Foote, Newman, Fox, Marsh, Laidler and AA all playing for a spot in the ones. Aliir is just a matter of time and a bit of form and I think Florent will deliberately be played in blocks this season, hence why I think he'll get the nod.

Melican is an interesting one for me. He has looked quite good but not outstanding but I think he is seen as a keeper and that he may well play the rest of the year barring any major f-ups. AA could well force that of course if he can tighten things up a bit at the back.

I think we are no chance of finals but a win this week would be really good for morale and just a sense we are back on track

I just wanted to provide some balance to temper the unjustified and unrealistic expectations that Gary seems to bring out on this forum.
Both 1.8 ave clangers per game. I'm a gary rohan fan and a dean towers sceptic after attending the Richmond game last year we lost by a point. Poor Dean. Has all the assets to be a superstar except he lacks a football brain.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I for one find Rohan to be an enormously frustrating player, a bit like Jetta. Clearly he has buckets of potential and looks like the kind of player who could be one of the greats of the game. But he never seems to put it together. He goes missing in too many games, and hasn't had too many (if any) standout games where he was best on ground, let alone a standout year like like Jetta's 2012. My expectations have been much lowered for him, to the point where I'll be glad if he just plays an average game. I would like to see Rohan come back through the reserves to build some confidence and form.

McVeigh's performance last week was an interesting one. I think we looked better with him on the field, but we were playing Brisbane :-). He had some moments where he really looked like he didn't know what to do with the ball, which is uncharacteristic for him. I think he needs game time and will improve with each performance.

Florent should have a break. He has what it takes to play in the senior team, but needs to practice in the ressies.

I like Marsh. I would keep him in at least until Rampe returns.

And confidence, I thought after his finals series in 2015 he could be an important player for us but he was very disappointing last year. I know he is rated highly internally there but he just doesn't seem to bring his A game to the big stage.

I guess he has the security of a two year contract but you sense time is running out for him.

I thought that Sunday's performance from Towersv2.0 playing on the ball was promising. I think it's the last throw of the dice, but there is a glimmer of hope.

If Melican continues to hold down his spot, then there isn't one for AA unless they play 3 talls. And even less chance once Rampe comes back next week.

I can't see them replacing Marsh with Rohan. Think Marsh will keep his spot until Rampe comes back so I reckon Sinclair, Florent, Newman go out
