Looks like it's going to be a small crowd. Not surprised seeing as it is Sunday twilight, plus it's Mother's day.

North have been good starters early so we have to be on our game from the start.

We're on. Sharper skills, better intensity.

Once again it seems that HTB applies differently to us compared to our opponents

Thats a Longmire goal. No targets for defenders at best 50/50. It's your fault.

Newman. Weak as water. Good kick. Cant defend.

Spot on, he is not AFL standard. Can kick the ball and that's it, cannot win a ball at AFL level to save his life.

Directly responsible for two of the three NM goals, he'll be out next week when Rampe is back thankfully.

Good to see our mids playing better, think that Towers has had a decent first quarter.

McVeigh clearly crocked, again, we cannot keep on carrying him, surely a matter of time until an early retirement

Mcveigh cooked. Cant run. Total waste. Another excuse for him.

Never thought I would pick Towers over anyone with legs, but he's above Newman for sure.

I'm not watching but there seems to be a bit of negativity here, considering an 11 pt lead........ at Etihad.......against the team that smashed the Crows last week.

Towers and Sinkers best on. Who'd have thought?

They said his hamstring is stuffed and towards the end of the quarter he was moved to the forward line.

He was clearly rushed back from injury though. I don't think it's any coincidence we won last week with him back in the side, definitely need him out there even with less fitness.

Good first quarter, probably should be further in front. Possibly Kennedy's best quarter of the year. Hannebery and Parker also seem likely to have big games.

Newman is a squad filler who takes up little cap space and may play the odd game when we have a bad injury run. With some luck he may develop a la Marsh has but right now he is just not there despite the fact he has a lovely kick. Clearly good at NEAFL level but he is just not AFL standard yet. Just a fact we need to accept and hope he improves.

Dean really needs another four quarter effort. He did a number of good things and made a really strong tackle stick. I still have faith there

Good first quarter, Rampe and Rohan for Newman and McVeigh will make a better outcome.
