    What would the coach, match committee and medicos know?

      Not the last 2 years. I cant remember a game that he did anything better then that Lloyd has been doing.

      Forward only.

          Heard on sportsbet that we have been backed in from $2.05 to $1.78 favourite while the demons has gone from $1.80 to $2.05. What is going on there??? Who is putting the money on?

            McVeigh, Rohan and Towers in the same team. Unless Melbourne can't play due to fits of laughter, it's goodbye finals

              The collective X factor Baz! They'll kick a ton between them.

                It probably has more to do with mounting injury toll for the Dees.

                They were expected to gain a few back earlier in the week, which would have made them more likely to win, but they ended up losing more players instead. I suspect the bookies are now just backing the team most likely to win based on personnel.

                  Good call M10. With the players they have out, I expect us to win, especially if we kick straight, buddy in particular.

                    If only we'd kept X on our list

                        If they do the right thing, they'll play McVeigh in the forward line. He's still a formidable player but lacks a little pace near the end of his career and he is now prone to soft tissue injuries which would be aggravated by being in the midfield. Plonking him in the forward line as a permanent small forward is the best plan. We've done that before with other players in their final few seasons (Goodes, Williams, etc) and it has worked out fine. If he spends all day in the forward half and kicks three or four goals, it would be a good day's work.

                          Looks bloody freezing in Melbourne tonight, 6 degrees but very little rain. They will have to drink anti-freeze not Gatorade .

                            My prediction tonight:
                            -Sydney by 4 goals;
                            -McVeigh with an iced calf before the final siren;
                            -Buddy back on the scoreboard;
                            -BOG Isaac Has
                            -A little bit of shrinkage because of the chill factor.

                              I like that they've left Sinclair out, I think we're at the stage where we know Naismith is fit after a few weeks back in the seniors. We need to bite the bullet and stop playing two ruckmen that can't do much else. I like the faith we're showing in Naismith

                                Hope not reid as back up for Naismith We need some marking strength on forward line. Would not have dropped Sincvlair but suppose Toweres will need to give the support particularly on Petersen
                                We seem to loose when reid is back up, too much left to buddy
