They did enough to win on the day.
Still a lot of behinds.
Is Plugger still helping out with the kicking? Doesn't look like it.
They've got to bring a whole lot more this week.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

I didn't see the game, but watched the highlights on the AFL website. Towers features prominently. Only a small sample I know, but hopefully we can see more highlights and less half hearted efforts and brain farts. I think there is a good footy player in there somewhere!Comment

Parker's miss was way out of character. Sam Reid; well, not surprised. Walked in straight on an angle, laid back on the kick and went way wide. Got everything wrong, again. Plugger must have been gnashing his teeth.Comment

Here's a take on Deano by someone he grew up with. I found it a fascinating read.Maybe it's a question of expectations. Probably wouldn't discuss a game Kennedy played with the same output but thought Towers was solid on he weekend.
The play that sticks in my mind is the tackle on the members wing then was first to recover to whisk the ball away
Round 12 – Sydney v Western Bulldogs: Barracking for TowersHe reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Coaches votes are interesting
Rohan 10
Rampe 7
Parker 5
Lloyd 4
Towers 4
Rohan, Rampe, Towers - no surprises there. I'm a bit surprised that one of the coaches would have given Parker 4, and both of them rated Lloyd's game, which I thought was ok without being spectacular.Comment

Bloody enjoyable read, thanks for posting it. The author's comment that Dean runs games out well resonated with me, he often becomes more prominent late in games. I kind of think they may be a confidence thing too a little bit, as if it takes him a little while to get a feel for a game. He was great on the weekend and definitely improving. Good on him. He's definitely earned his spot. Here's a take on Deano by someone he grew up with. I found it a fascinating read.

I was surprised one coach only gave Parker 1 vote, he kept thrusting us forward all evening and in my view was more influential than Towers and Lloyd. Rare to see the coaches agree on the top 5.Coaches votes are interesting
