No he can't. It's not possible because his bias is complete and all consuming.

30 seconds before the end, as the Giants were moving the ball towards the goal, he could clearly be heard saying "kick the goal". He obviously didn't think it was on mike - it was sotto voce in the background. It just shows where he is at as an allegedly impartial, professional commentator.
