Great win and being fifth is a long way away from where the doomsayers who inhabit this site thought we would be eleven weeks ago.
One little concern for me however and I would be interested if anyone is able to read lips ? What did Papley say so vehemently to McVeigh after the siren? He runs up to him yells at his back and whatever was said the response was telling McVeigh looked shocked and offended . Check out the vision something is possibly not right there?Last edited by Faunac8; 15 July 2017, 10:30 PM.Comment

That was a weird game to watch on tv. It always seemed that we were on top (except the first 10 minutes) and our defence was amazing but we never got to a comfortable lead and in the end I was always nervous. We did a very good job of shutting down their rebounding defenders. In the end, Buddy was the difference.Comment

Yes, I only had a few minor grumbles: which is good for me. We probably got a few lucky ones, but nowhere near as much as Dermie would like the viewing public to believe.Comment

I didn't agree with the assessment by Roos that it was toughness and structure defeating talent. It seemed to be a self-fulfilling prophecy as he had been suggesting all week that this game was going to be a contest between quality players and a disciplined team.
I thought that the Giants were quite tough at the contest tonight and outmuscled the Swans for periods in the first and third quarters. We would likely have lost if it was not for the final lift from our key mids when it counted at the end.
This was a very hard encounter - and a lot of our players will be sore.

The 3 way love affair between Dermie, Buddy & Grnudy continues.
Apparently Kennedy received a cup at the end of the game. We didn't see that because the cameras were focused on the players standing around.
Coverage overall was lacking. Replays when play had restarted. No replays when there were long gaps to explain what frees were for etc.
Good win.
My outs would be
Reid, Smith and Robinson

Tippo or Sinclair - don't care who, Cunningham and AllirThe difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

Found Dermie and Roosy a little condescending towards us saying that it's just hardness around the ball plus Buddy up front that gets us over the line. Bit simplistic.Comment
