Considering the history of intentional hits , pretty clean game of footy.
Took a client from New York , he'd never seen Kick-to-kick before , he was an excellent kick too . Gee the lights are incredibly hard to mark against , dunno how they do it .
      Well done Swans .

I can't remember which ankle he hurt before but today it was his left.

Record crowd for the stadium. 21,000 there. Could anyone who was at the ground estimate what percentage were Swans supporters? We sounded louder on TV but it might've been because we had more to cheer.

Was amused at the commentators negative reaction to the free kick that led to the last Buddy goal. Sure, there were no hands in his back but he was clearly tunneled underneath the ball.

A huge win for us! Go the mighty Bloods!!!!

Great fun at the Riser - community singing, sydney clap clap clap, syyyydneeeey.
Also with the odd comment from overwrought patrons.
A good solid win, hard-earned and very valuable. And everyone contributed, even Reid despite his loony attempt at a goal.
Love Papley's work - such a hard nut, especially given his size.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Reid: 3 disposals, 1 behind. An inexcusable disgraceful performance. He should be dropped to the 2's. Nick Smith's continued poor form this season is also a worry. Otherwise a fantastic win and against a top 4 team, our first this year.

Yes, Tippett's ankle injury is the same ankle as before. I found report from March 2017 as below. So rather than a new injury it sounds as if he has aggravated the previous injury which clearly was pretty serious. So unfortunately he might be sidelined again for a period.

"SYDNEY forward Kurt Tippett has escaped bone damage to his left ankle, but will have scans to assess the extent of the injury he suffered against the Western Bulldogs on Friday night."

I actually thought McVeigh put on a fake sulking face immediately afterwards - it looked all in jest to me. I would only be guessing what prompted it, but I don't think there was any bad blood[s] at all.

Hey guys, does anyone have the link that allows you to watch replays of matches from the AFL website?

In Longmire's press conference, he said Reid had a minor groin injury from the first quarter.

"(Sam Reid) Tightened up a bit in his groin, pretty early in the game, got on the ground and played but he wasn't 100%. We will have to see how he goes"

Smith has been good recently. He won a lot of key one on one contests in the last quarter of those close wins.

I thought that the Giants were quite tough at the contest tonight and outmuscled the Swans for periods in the first and third quarters. We would likely have lost if it was not for the final lift from our key mids when it counted at the end.

This was a very hard encounter - and a lot of our players will be sore.

I thought it was a decent observation. A number of their goals were individual brilliance again the run of play. We looked the much smarter team.

Reid had a tight groin early in the game and couldn't stretch out according to Horse. Rohan a tight glute
