Must admit I have trouble seeing Dawson's problem, but far more experienced eyes than mine are doing the analysis.
More the case is that the side was on a long winning run and there wasn't a vacancy for Dawson. With the loss to the Hawks and injuries to JPK, Lloyd, and Rohan, it might now be time we see Dawson given another shot.

We can end all this Dawson talk this week. He'll either get selected, or he he wont. If he doesn't, then put a line through him for 2017.

ANYONE can beat us on a good day (good day for them; bad day for us).

It's that time of the year when teams like Collingwood, who can't make it to the finals, will have a red-hot shot at a team who have a better chance of playing finals.
        They've got nothing to lose.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

          Robinson out (again)
Didn't think I'd be calling for this 3 weeks in a row, but he has no form at all.
Foote played like a kid elevated to a much faster & intense league. Not ready yet.

Cunningham in if fit, otherwise Florent &/or Dawson

I'm a bit nervous we could lose Buddy. He already has one fine this year, two more fines (three in one season) would lead to a one-match suspension. The crude late tackle on Hodge was a footballing mistake but he needs to cut out the unnecessary jumper punching niggle (even though I know he has a lot of provocation).

He kick was poor, but it was a risk and he had little time to think about it, just had to move the ball quickly.
I was worried about Newman when I watched him before the game in the pre pre game warm up. He was with Hayward in front of me and they were kicking the ball to each other. Newman dropped a mark, fumbled the ball, his kick missed Hayward and he just seemed disinterested. He did have headphones on so he might have been listening to a really good song ????.

The last couple of weeks I've noticed his disposal has been off.

I agree with you the run down was great. The subsequent kick was the right option as there wasn't much time left.

Bf can be a good source of information, escpecially drafting board. Don't go near or read the main board much n even the Sydney board at times can get rediculous. I have never joined or posted on it as like I said it can be good for gathering information n that's pretty much what I use it for.

Buddy is lucky to get off, but he's come close way too many times and has to stop all this physical byplay. It's too big a risk of losing him for a crucial game. As a tall and powerful player, the slightest mistake could easily result in forceful high contact. Zak Jones and Papley also to need focus on the game. We don't want to lose them either.

One thing I really liked about Captain Kirk was the way he made sure everyone kept their minds on the task and never allowed arguing with umpires or gratuitous physical stuff. Except for Bazza, who no one could control, we had very few suspensions during his time at the club.

Given the news that Jeremy Cameron will miss around 3 weeks with another hamstring injury, we will probably take a cautious approach with Kennedy and only play him if we are absolutely sure he's good to go, especially now that Danger is not playing, which would sort of even things out. In fact, we can more easily cover Kennedy than Geelong can cover Danger.

I will feel very confident about this game if we select Aliir. Otherwise, I agree with Annie, and we'll probably lose.

I would like to see Horse use a bit of imagination and bring in Marsh or Laidler specifically to tag Selwood. They're both strong physical players used to playing man on man, and without Dangerfield, negating Selwood should be a priority.

Note on Newman: Just a reminder that Newman was the Swans best in Fantasy pts and disposals with 29 at 83% DE. Also named in the best players. I'd be more worried about the drop off in Buddy's game than Nic's.

I agree re Buddy. He's now on two fines this season, one more would bring an automatic one-match suspension. He has to stop the unnecessary physical niggle.

Unfortunately, after the poor start to the season and the criticism for not standing up when Mills was targeted by Carlton, the players have increased the physical byplay. I really dislike it, from any club but particularly from the Swans.

Agree that Buddy has to control himself. Not only because he could get suspended but when he gives away frees during the game it costs us.

I noticed that Hodge got a week for punching Papley in the stomach. I remember seeing Papley on the ground hunched over. Where was the free?

I wouldn't be so quick to write off our chances against them. The Giants had already beaten us once this season, at home. Look what happened when we played them on their turf. We won.
