ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED - THIS IS IMPORTANT

The ABC's online AFL section has NO account of the Sydney Swans record-busting finals game.!!!!!
      Pathetic in the extreme.
WTF do we have the ABC for ?

Does Australian Football in Sydney actually exist . FFS.

AFL - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Lodge a complaint here Contact the ABC

I've lost count of the number of times I've had to point out NRL stories on the the AFL page.
The ABC are quick to respond usually only takes about a week.!!!
      give it to the game

They haven't written an article on it at all. Tried a site search - nothing. I'll tweet them from the RWO account.

Could it have anything to do with Malcolm being pictured at the Swans game? #unbiased

Here's their reply: ABC Sport AFL on Twitter: "@RWOau @sydneyswans @EssendonFC Hi, the Swans-Bombers wrap is in yesterday's AFL ScoreCentre - https://t.co/IvPgh5sF6A"

And then there is this from the News online AFL writeup of the first round of finals:

"We?re aware this wrap doesn?t feature anything on Sydney?s 19.7 (121) to 8.8 (56) demolition of Essendon, but out of respect to Bombers fans who have already endured so much pain in recent years we decided not to make them relive the Saturday afternoon horror show at the SCG."

How about the respect for a team that made finals after a 0-6 start to the season?

This is exactly what happens when the Melbourne media push their agenda. I've heard it all year "the hard done by bombers who've risen from the ashes n fought back to greatness". When really it's a club that got caught systematically doping their players with the players helping to try n conceal what happened all the while the AFL attempting to sweep it all under the carpet. This situation is exactly what I talk about when I say the Melbourne media push their agenda n have to much control over our great NATIONAL game.

I think the 'respect to Bombers fans' was tongue in cheek. Nevertheless it is disrespectful to the Swans not to cover our match at all in a writeup which talks about each of the other finals matches. Then again I don't mind keeping a lid on Swans hype. I get very nervous when we are written up as favourites.

You're right Boddo but I now only watch the games not any TVs footy show except Marn Grook occasionally. Read very little newspaper stuff. Much happier for it. Situation won't change any time soon

I haven't read a newspaper for a good five years. Because I live in WA I find that the football shows are on at the perfect time so I record them n then after dinner watch n fast forward through a lot of the garbage. Which sometimes is a lot, for example last Monday night with Talking Hawthorn. Its why I like forums a lot I get a lot of news/information n get to read both sides of a story n not one side pushing their barrow.

More and more people getting news from forums etc for good reason. Interesting times we live in. People much less brainwashed by media these days.
