The Melbourne press have saying it for years but I haven't seen the evidence to back it up.

There'll be no blow out tonight, which makes it much more a 50/50 proposition....IMO
I agree 100%. If it is a dry track, we win against Geelong. Rain just throws a new variable into the mix.

When was the last game we played in the rain? I'm struggling to think of one this year.

            Have to agree with this.
Good luck guys - I'm quietly confident but I doubt it will be a blow-out.

Officially team sheets have to be submitted 90 minutes before first bounce. However you can still make changes if someone injured himself in the warmup.

I really hope Dangerfield just bombs it long like he usually does... Although in the wet it may work better.

Some great efforts to get to the game tonight:

Sydney Swans super fan re-enacts Planes, Trains and Automobiles to make it to the MCG

The comment about the swans being good in the wet dates back to 2005 when we played with immense pressure and just hoiked it long. Not our game style any more (when we're playing well).

Agreed here too. Swans and wet weather is cliche bingo.

Food poisoning the reason Lonergan is out.

Hope the forecast for the rain to generally stay away is accurate. We are a dry weather team. Our recent record in the wet (not many this year I grant you) is poor.

I'm stuck in Canberra trying to get home for the game. My plane was here but they've used it for another flight and made us wait. ARRRGHHH!!!
