That's huge.

I had to wonder if this was misinformation being disseminated so I checked the AFL site, where it says that it is understood that Lonergan is recovering from food poisoning. I agree, this is huge. Not only because Lonergan has done well against Buddy, but also because it necessitates Geelong's rearranging their match-ups and, depending on how much warning they had, it has to be disconcerting to the rest of the team to have such a significant change made so close to the game.

Lonergan out is big. Stanley on a wet night and last played at ANY level in round 21, that's hasn't played for 5 weeks and he's a flaky type anyway. Have to expect something really different from Cats tonight to try and upset our planning.

There were heavy showers mid arvo up to 20mm, showers will come and go during the game. It's surprisingly mild at 16degrees.

So, that seems like they will play Henderson on Buddy? Hmmm. Though I suspect Papley will have a big game tonight in the slippery conditions. Last week he seemed a bit quite, but that was because we were totally dominant in the air, so he wasn't getting the chance to crumb, even though he was front and centre at many contests. Tonight it will probably be different.
