I don't think he is. His kicking lacks penetration and his accuracy is at best ordinary. Let him rest and recover even if it takes 1/2 a season. He is better value to us fit and firing at the business end of the year when the good players are really required

Hanners would feel harshly done by. He engaged in a bit of push and shove with Johannisen before the bounce, but it's something you would see in many AFL games. The fact that it turned into a melee was due to the Dogs wanting to stick up for Johannisen when they failed to do so at our last meeting. No fines for the other participants in the melee as far as I can tell.

Agree with this, seems a bit harsh on a player who is engaging in some normal pre siren push and shove which only became a melee when the Bulldogs over reacted to it......ie; they started the melee.

I just saw Hanners on AFL Tonight and he is clearly suffering from I Would Rather Be Anywhere Than Doing This Interview Syndrome. His eyes were wandering all over the place. Someone needs to keep an eye on him. He's a real possibility to walk out the locker room and right off a pier into Rushcutters Bay.

I haven't seen the interview in question but Hanners normally does that with his eyes when he is interviewed. I have noticed it a few times on the Sunday Footy show when he is not in the studio and is interviewed via camera.

I think that "Yeah definately" (or, more precisely, "Yeah definally") is straight out of Media Training for Australian Athletes 101. It appears to be a tactic for dealing with the propensity to respond "Yeah no" as a kind of qualified affirmative.

It actually looks like they lifted it straight from RWO. All it does it point out the anomaly there's no comment from either coach.
