We smashed Port in the first half but had nothing to show for it on the scoreboard.

That victory looks much more impressive in hindsight than it did at the time.Comment

I think you're selling AFLW a bit short. They do indeed have a real crack at it. It's good viewing, even if the scoring is low. The main thing is you want a contest, a close game (unless it's the Swans). All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated, and well supported in logic and argument than others. -Douglas Adams, author (11 Mar 1952-2001)

I know that this week there has been a lot said about the way the games are being played at the moment flooding congestion etc and I must admit that I have not enjoyed the games that the Swans have played this year. I am greatful and happy that they have won but even those wins have been painful to watch. Yes there have been tremendous moments in the matches, viz; Buddy's 8 goals against West Coast, his monster goals, the last quarter against Geelong, to name a few, but overall there have been terrible patches of play e.g the game against Adelaide, and last nights effort against North. The games have been too defense orientated with an emphasis of negating the scoring. I would like to see more flair and attacking risk taking not just bombing it down the line. Of course I don't want to see risky kicks intercepted as happened to McVeigh and Sinclair. I would like to see the Swans play on with some dash and flair and not bring all of the forwards back into defense. Leave 2 or 3 forward, take a punt and capitalize on a turnover.
I also acknowledge that we are missing key players and injuries haven't helped but why not try a change in the game plan?Comment
