I'm very happy that steaming pile of .... Clarkson has brought this up as we'll now see a change in umpiring this practice and, when he gets back on the park, Buddy will be kicking double figures most weeks. He's probably the most infringed and unprotected key forward in the game.

Or maybe the new interpretation will only be applied to VFL forwards?

Extremely disappointing journalism Clarkson went on two radio station abc and 3aw not one interviewer said your blokes do similar thing. The media has whipped its self into such a frenzy over this state of the game BS that no one has the guts to speak up and just pander to his ego.

Ps Josh Gibson won 2 b&fs in premiership years because his teammates blocked for his so he cloud take intercepts.

The fact that Clarkson met "privately" (in a cafe where everyone can see) with Gill the Dill to bitch about it is even more concerning.

How it looks for non Hawks supporters for Clarkson is how it would look for Longmire.
We may see it as 'taking it to the man' but to everyone else it looks like sour grapes at best.
I'm glad he held his demeanor while enduring some of the terrible judgements (on and off the field) made against the Swans.

How it looks for non Hawks supporters for Clarkson is how it would look for Longmire.

I think if Longmire had complained more publicly about the appalling umpiring in the 2016 GF, and there had then been a week of huge scrutiny of the calls / non-calls he was complaining about it would have had the opposite effect - the AFL community would have been made aware that, to some extent, we were the victims of some appalling umpiring. I think Longmire should have spoken out more strongly and publicly than he did on that occasion, but I can see why he wouldn't.

Seriously, I was wrong on this. I always thought Dill was spineless, crooked and hopeless - but didn?t think he?d be so transparent.

The collective of presidents from the 17 other clubs should corral the AFL on this.
