The Lions taking it right up to them is, on the other hand, a thing of great beauty.
Yes, though I'm struggling to think what the cause might be? Colour Blindness Awareness Day? A special day to celebrate those without dress sense?
Then again, maybe pink and brown is fashionable in some parts of Tasmania?

Hawks have been wearing that pink jumper for the last few years in their annual Pink Ribbon day match in Tasmania in support of Cancer Council Tasmania. Funds raised on the day go to cancer research, education and support programs for Tasmanians affected by cancer.

Doesn’t matter what it looks like.

I wonder how much of Hawthorns threepeat was Clarkson and how much Fagan? The latter is totally turning the Lions around. I think they could be a contender in the next couple of years.

I’d like to think Horse would spend a lot of time studying this game given Brisbane have comprehensively beaten Hawks twice and they are our nemesis.

It doesn't matter which colour is paired with brown it's going to be ugly!

Dees sticking to the Dogs.....there's the siren, 50 pt win. We are now fifth.....until tomorrow!

PS: Fantasy point brag....6 players in and I have 835 pts! One is Tom Mitchell (C), so there's 314 pts right there. Could be a best ever team score this round.

That last post should read 'sticking it to the Dogs'.......gee they're imposters those Fairypups.

Giants going ok against Tigers....started real well then Richmond steadied. Only four points in it now after Giants lead by 18 pts at one stage. Make that Tigers in front now......

Ideally we should hope GWS lose tonight and we win tomorrow and then we would be effectively 2 games clear of 7th to 10th.....and if we win well tomorrow, we should be back in the top four.

Even if GWS go on and win tonight and we do tomorrow, we will still be a game and a half clear of them (and only a game off top spot).....but we have to win!

Also, if Richmond lose tonight, one of WC or Collingwood will be equal top with them after this round is over.

Giants have brought a similar intensity and urgency and are giving a genuine contest.

Watching on mute so I can read a book as well and noticing that in today’s contested footy kicking to a pack of 4 or more rarely results in a mark being taken.... even by bean poles.

The exception is someone like Jack R. using both hands on someone’s shoulder to propel himself higher . Is that still technically legal?

I think it is as long as you take the mark. I think this aspect of the rule was clarified in Capper's glory days because he used his hands quite a bit to propel himself......but Jack's example tonight was borderline infringement as he completely shoved Davis out of the contest.

                          That’s how I like it played .

Very attractive, both teams playing desperately and quickly.

Really happy for the Giants to win this .

The giants winning might put the tigers back in their box for a while - I do love it when the Hawkes and the Tigers get beaten on the same day.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

This continues the Tigers’ run of being unable to win outside Victoria. It may not matter for them in the end, but might put the dampeners on certain footy journalists declaring them a super team. A super team ought to be able to win the occasional game on the road.

With their run home, ie: pretty easy, the Tigers will likely finish top two so away form is of no concern to them I would imagine.....cosy in the knowledge that if they keep winning at home, they win the premiership.
