Essendon scored 4.8 in the last quarter, we should probably have lost by 10+ goals.

Its sad to see such a dispirited group not even to the effort things like chase and tackle. They have lost all confidence

Are you kidding, the umpires were definetly the difference in the first half. We got slaughtered I n the second half. We have serious problems. I don't understand it. Buddy haas trained for about 20 minutes for the year. Well it must be the same for the entire team! We looked like a bunch of old men out there. Loose players everywhere and how many tackles never stuck? Reason? Maybe they having a rest for the finals. A long rest!

Footy smarts seem to be lacking across the board - certainly when it gets tough.

Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

3 weeks ago we play in one of the games of the year a shoot out against the kangaroos. 3 weeks later coach needs to be sacked. Ease up. Essendon played really well. Who had the younger the side?

We need some consistency in life - they have an over-represented 'pond life' factor within their fan base, that is for sure.

We won a shootout so why the return to dour negative football. The Kangas also arent that good as is now being shown. Also we did lose to Gold Coast!

Swans just aren’t any good. Umpiring doesn’t help, tough draw doesn’t help. Not going to challenge for the flag obviously, probably won’t win another game this year. Give Buddy a rest, FFS. He’s clearly not right.

The Swans may end up above .500 but they barely escaped with some other wins. It's not like they manhandled the Dogs and they barely beat the Roos once out of two times. In the end, I think the injuries are just too much. They have been a problem for a few years now and I do think it is appropriate to question the training staff. Reid has been a big disappointment. How many games has he played in the last three years? Before anyone jumps on me about him not controlling be injured, I would argue the MOST important stat for any athlete in any sport is games played. You may have all the talent in the world, if you are consistently injured, you are of limited value. Callum Mills' injury is nobody's fault but Callum's but it is inexcusable. He is a professional athlete who is paid...I don't care how young he is...he shouldn't be pretending to be Payton Manning in the middle of the season. If this team is healthy, it can win a premiership and compete with any other team in the league...but once again, they are just too broken up to compete. Hopefully, dividends will be paid in the long run when these younger players mature and learn how to deal with adversity. Unfortunately, 2018 is looking like a lost season unless something dramatically changes.

As bad as we have played, do you think our players don't notice how they're being adjudicated during a game and it not affect the way they attack the opposition, their decision making, their overall confidence? 28 - 14 free kick count, 20 - 9 vs North, 20 -8 in the 2016 GF, it's just not right. I wouldn't blame a lot of the players if they were starting to get a bit disillusioned about the chances of reaping just rewards for all of the effort they put in. I put myself in their shoes and imagine it would be mentally exhausting......

                          Agree, Bombers aced us.

But....the umps are a major factor in our games, they were a big factor in this game and have been all season. I'm tired of focusing on that when I want to enjoy the game.

Putting the lop-sided free kick count aside, I'd be pissed off being a Bombers fan too. Just @@@@ umpiring this season, not just in our games. Is there blatant, deliberate umpiring bias? Yes. 17 free kicks against a side in one half - 19 if you add the first minute of the third quarter - is not accidental, nor fair. Is this bias a specific conspiracy against the Swans? No. I've seen howlers this year not involving the Swans. Being a non-Victorian team, we just end up on the wrong side of the ledger more often than not unfortunately. Still dirty and angry about it though.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

They beat GWS, Crows and Cats with very weak teams. They will get smashed in September. they aren't that good. We were totally @@@@e. Our game plan is so negative everyone knows what we are going to do. We lead to the same spots we have in the last 5-6 years for @@@@s sake. The mids stoppage strategies have been worked out for years and now due to more diligence and strength from the opposition we are now getting slaughtered.

We are one of the worst teams in the AFL. Tonight proved this. We don't deserve to be in the eight. Who have we beaten this year? Eagles you say but who was out of their side each time? We are @@@@@@. No way back. Can't see this year, next year or the year after or any year Horse is in charge. His game plan is @@@@e and does not work. Time for a new coach before we waste the talent and they start to look for a new place to play. I think Lloyd may be looking elsewhere already, because he knows Horse will never win another premiership.
