Team List Changes for Round 23 V Hawks

After a sensational win, will be tough to make too many changes.

Fox would be the major player in doubt to face the Hawks as had very little impact against the Giants. Robinson didn't get a lot of the ball but could be useful in a defensive role on Saturday.

Rohan will likely get another game in the reserves to find some form. Reg needs to play if Roughead comes back in, but would have to be 50:50 as to getting selected.

    My changes would be:

    In: Dawson, Grundy
    Out: Fox, Robinson

Yep I think you are probably not far off at all. Grundy was good in reserves by all reports, but hard to know whether he will come in or not.

Rohan struggled again so can't see him coming back in.

      OUT : Fox

      IN : Dawson

Buddy looked to have hurt his groin late in the game....Oh dear, hope not....If he's out then....

Cameron or Towers to get a game, and rotate with Sinkers between the forwardline and ruck.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

The win was great, but don’t forget that it was on the back of plenty of injuries to the Giants. Changes should be made if it strengthens the side, regardless of the weekends result.

Short memory with Cameron. He should have been given more game time earlier in the year. Playing a guy with one games experience leading into the finals is folly. And his single game wasn’t good. At all. Games into him early next year. Not a game out from finals.

Rohan also needs far more game time in the twos before returning to the seniors. Needs to play himself into form in whatever position will define his career, but he needs to show consistent & more dominant form in the twos before earning a senior recall. Don’t think there is enough time in 2018 for this.

The team played well on Saturday, hung tough when required, out lasted GWS and blew them away in a sensational last quarter. I agree that if Roughie plays, Reg comes in. Aliir was out muscled by Himmelberg at times and will struggle against Roughie and I think Ramps is too small as well to play on Roughie all night. McEvoy could also cause damage if he drifts back. Dawson in for Fox if fit would be the other obvious change. Being at Spotless on Saturday, I noticed Robbo contributing really well off the ball, so his numbers dont do him justice. He actually had a really good game so would be happy for him to stay (definitely keep him over Rohan!).

Happy for Robinson to stay. Reg in would be great.

Why was Dawson a late out, any clarification on "managed"? He's the obvious in.

Reg could be a chance as could Towers. Only obvious out is Fox.

Rohan looks to be done for the year, hasn't played at a suitable level for a long time, Towers is well in front of him.

Got a corkie the week before. Still sore.

In last week's injury report, he was listed as three weeks. I would assume that he would have to then return via the NEAFL. So, personally, I'm looking at him as a handy inclusion for our reserves, rather than somebody who is going to add much to our firsts. Though a fit Reid may be a useful back up, if we go deep and somebody gets injured.

Apparently Tom Harley said on SEN this morning that Reid is a chance to play finals - so won't be in this week, but we may see him again before the season's out

I would go as far as saying that a fit Reid back is essential to us winning the premiership.
